Wakeboarding threag

Sounds like you've been having alot of fun, and progressing very well with your skills Bill  Cant wait to see the videos, enjoy watching them, especially since I cant board right now. We took the boat out this weekend and my wife finally got up on the board, but she didnt stay up long. Shes determined now :smt001

Totally having a blast! I am also enjoying the fact it is another thing the wife and I can do together.

I am progressing quickly again...wasn't for a while. I am going to the next level now...can feel the board becoming a part of me instead of just a board keeping me on top of the water. I will be doing a backroll by mid next year no doubt.

Im proud of your wife! That is great for her to be getting into it. And I hope you will be back on again soon...how much longer do you think you have?

Re: I gon't have any wakeborging threags to agg. Sorry.

:grin:but if I goo, I'll agg 'em. I'm doind to do for a rige in my augi, I'll check in here later. ;^):smt043:lol::smt021:wow:

So...? Did you goo?:smt001

I will have to get a camera out in the boat. There wasn't any video rolling when I sliced my head open last week on the kneeboard...that would have been cool. Stitches are out now and hoping to get out this weekend.

That kneeboard video you posted was great. There is a guy in my group trying to get the barrel roll but hasn't quite gotten there yet. I sent him the link. Who knows, with the slo-mo he might learn something and give it another shot.

lol...blood is DEFINITELY extra points in a vid! Maybe bring some ketchup packets and re-enact?

Yea, Al is awesome at watersports. Decent wakeboarder, incredible slalom skier, great at kneeboard...but most of all, and hopefully I can get him this year before the year is out...incredible barefooter. We dont get to do that due to there being debris in the lake and river too often. It hurts to have a branch impale your feet :-(

Get some vids up bro!

Great vid, thanks for sharing!

Is that Prodigy I hear? Nice!

Awesome riding...very smooth. And good pop off the transom! Your TS is pretty strong over the w2w...nice to see that!

Do you have the camera mounted to something? We were thinking of coming up with an attachment to the tower whereas the camera would move with the turret to stay on the rider...we will be doing that over the winter...experimenting. We have some ideas.

Re: Wakeboarding behind a 280DA

I'll tell you one thing... the hole behind the boat looks 10 times bigger from the wakeboard than from the cockpit...

And, of course, we burned up quite a bit of gas having this fun...

Any one else board behind a 280DA? Or bigger?

Nice to see it's possible to do behind a 280DA! At least when we upgrade, I'll know I can still have the occasional wakeboard fun...but will burn a bunch more gas doing it!

You aren't kidding about how deceiving the back of the boat looks, when you're actually back there. I actually think it looks even worse when tubing; I guess being even that much closer to the water.

The jellyfish are nearly gone, so I can finally get back in the water for a few weeks and try to progress a bit.

THanks Wes...when are you getting out there again and popping up a vid?

Turns out my boat found its way into some salt the other weekend and we are still checking out everything to make sure she will be good to go in the water again.

:huh::huh::huh::huh:

I'm surprised nobody went boarding on Keowee. Just not enough time. I had my skies and boards in the locker.

What happened? You mean you went out into the sea water?

I have the camera on a tripod. Tied to the seat.
Thanks for the compliments.

Couple pics from tonight.

Here is my dad last night (he's 52!)....I really really like this picture. (its sking I know.....)

Wake...great pics! Thank you for sharing. Ski pics are fine, of course. I really should have named this "watersports" threag instead of wakeboarding. That one of your dad is beautiful, and I would definitely want one like that in this thread.

Thanks again for posting. I really love looking at other people's vids and pics.

I hope you wear your pfd.... most of these fools weren't wearing them, pulling those stunts.

I definitely would! With my luck I would need it.

It does look like fun though...I am going to plan a day of this next summer for sure.

That picture is worthy of a nice big frame! Beautiful.

So this may be the last vid of the year for me, depending on weather (wanted to go out this weekend but looks like crap weather coming)

This is from Sunday the 21st, Brian and Matt (slacker) went out. Matt is driving my boat. I will have vid of Brian and Matt up by the end of this week.

Hope you enjoy it...watch in high quality if your bandwith can take it, and explore the rest of my channel for other friends and family waterskiing and boarding that I added recently but didnt post about here.

Another nice video Bill, also watched a few others. Your wifes second video looks like she is making real good progress
You seem to be getting those surface spins down real well. Hopefully its not your last time out this year, for some reason I think it wont be

Few questions. What speed are you being pulled at and what length of rope are you using. Also, are you taking the fins off your board? I finally got my wife up many times on the board, just keeping her up for any length of time is our next goal. I boarded a few times last weekend, but didnt push it much. Mostly practiced surface tricks and did a few small jumps. Hopefully we'll get to go again before it gets too cold.
