Wakeboarding threag

Byerly legacy, 56" with liquid force bindings.

I got the board AND bindings for for under $300! Regular price of this combo was like $500. The local board shop guy gave me a discount for my board, as I bought a crapload of stuff all at once to start the year: life vests for all 3 kids and me, airhead 2 seater tube, tow rope, tubing rope, waterskiis for my wife and daughter, couple of pairs of shorts and some shirts, wet suits etc...

The board is awesome, love it so far...lots of pop off the wake. It is a little more difficult to do spins and such with this board as it is made for getting air more so than spins, but I manage.

Both good looking boards Wesley and Bill.
I started with a Liquid Force Omega 143 and recently bought a CWB Pure 140. Looking forward to trying the CWB out. The Omega seems to track well and has decent pop, but Im just a noob, its probably alot better than I can give it credit for

Ok guys I finally got my video together of a day on the water back on June 30th, '08. We had a boat full.
It's a video of the whole days events, but there is some video of me wakeboarding (and wiping out) near the beginning and of my brother-in-law (trying) for the first time. This is the second time ever I've been up on a wakeboard. Last time I waterskied before that, I was around 12-13 or so. So expect nothing fancy! I'm still just trying to stay up at this point!

Video is a flash video embedded in the webpage:
My Boating website

Enjoy!

Nice pictures and video Tom, looks like yall were having a great time. Glad to see im not the only one that doesnt look so graceful on the wipeouts :smt043

Wheres the video from friday Bill? Your slackin:)

Dang, I didnt even see this thread.

I have been wakeskateing alot more lately.
But tonight I had a epic wakeboard shesh.

My setups-
Wakeboard- Liquid force subjekt with 3ds boots
Skates- New Bigfoot and Hyperlite Catalyst

Both my wife and I wakeboard. I've only been at it for a year, but my skill level is continuously improving, to the point where last time we went out I got over 3 ft. of air and actually landed. I'm always holding back, though, because hitting the water at 20 MPH hurts a lot more than I thought it would. I must be getting old........

lol...sorry, on vacation dood...this si the first time Im checking in.

I have it all imported into imovie hd, and just need to edit...I had 6 kids yesterday and 6 today on the boat tubing all day.

Oh, yesterday, Amy used your board...and got up! ....AND rode it for 45 seconds as her longest run by the end. Buying her a board sometime this week.

Ill get the vids youtubed soon enough or you can always come by and pick up a dvd ill burn for you.

Ok...got one vid up so far on you tube...this is my 5th session this year (and in 15 years!)

I am working on a coupe of others, including Slacker (Matt) and a really funny one of my bud Erik trying for the first time, and as well, my wife, who finally go tup and did pretty well!

Since this vid, I finally landed 180 wake to wake smoothly, and a good grab on the heelside jump to flats...next time we vid should be a good improvement shown...

Love the video Bill, you're really progressing good.
Glad to see Im not the only one with the bad wipeouts too LOL
Thanks! Little by little..hard to get this body to do what it was once able to!

Wipeouts are the BEST! The one good thing about wakeboarding is you arent really ever going fast enough to really catch a good one and get hurt...at least not at my skill level!

When are we seeing some vids of you?

HAHA yeah right. We are leaving in the morning for 4 days at the lake so maybe I'll get my wife to take some that arent sideways. I dont know why the last ones turned out that way, but I cant rotate it to the normal view. Any ideas? Im using Real Player to view it with on my PC.

Sorry Ken, not sure how you rotate it.

However, posting the vids with you traveling upward will make your jumps look a lot bigger anyway :smt001

Sweet the videos are up. WOW I suck:) LOL, but I'm getting more comfortable hitting the wake now.... I have to step it up. Erik's vid was hilarious, but still did good for his first time! And you are just a show off:p Hehe

You dont suck at all! Just gotta grow some balls and expect to fall when pushing the limits.

Im far from a show off! Im average at best out there. Someday next year I hope to be a show off though:grin:

Bill, just watched your wakeboarding videos. Man, you make what you do look easy! I'm more like your buddy Erik; well maybe not entirely. I can stay straight and within the wake and can go whichever direction I want, am somewhat stable, but still a bit too wobbly to just relax like you do. I'm still just concentrating on staying upright and trying to chill.

I think your rope is considerably shorter than mine; not sure if that's good or bad. Looks like you have more of a wake around you than me, which is probably a good thing for me.
