Does anyone recall the gas assist spring size for a 2003 260 sundancer engine compartment?

So does anyone have any recommendations on how to install a fresh water flush onto a 5.0 mpi salt water cooled engine. I think it will be a real pain in the arse to put muffs onto my drive while at the dock to flush after a day out.

When i have to switch from reverse to forward the shifter hangs up a little bit and have to give it a good nudge to get her into forward or return back to neutral then try going forward again and she stills ok. Any recommendations? I tried greasing her.

Ok guys so I want to install a fresh water flush kit onto my engine to be able to flush out the salt water when i get back to the dock. Any suggestions on how I can accomplish this without buying a $250 kit? I would assume I can tee off the sea water pump or somewhere by the thermostat?

Should i paint this area (under where the 1st prop) is on a Bravo 3? Doesn't look like it was ever painted. I know not to use paint with copper or tin.
