question on installing a fresh water engine flush kit 5.0 MPI

Ok guys so I want to install a fresh water flush kit onto my engine to be able to flush out the salt water when i get back to the dock. Any suggestions on how I can accomplish this without buying a $250 kit? I would assume I can tee off the sea water pump or somewhere by the thermostat?

You can remove the sea water in hose to the strainer and install a tee fitting at that point. Install a water hose tap in the top of the fitting. Done. Shut off sea cock and connect fresh water hose to new tap in top off new tee fitting, turn on water hose and flush. You can also us this setup to introduce anti-freeze into your engine for winterizing purposes.
