I am installing AC in 260 and looking for pointers...

Hello Guys,

After last summer I decided I need AC in my 260 Sundancer. I got a great deal from Mermaid Mfg...I plan on getting started this weekend as I plan on it taking 2 weekends to complete. Just wondering if anyone has any pointers or suggestions before I start. I have already removed panels and made sure i have a game plan of how and where to run my wires, hoses etc...

Im sure that Todd aka "Nehalennia" will chime in. I think he ran AC and heat in his 260 a few years ago and took alot of pictures.

I just installed an FCF 9000 in my boat to replace the old mermaid. Make sure you have a good intake vent (for pulling air into the unit) and adjustable vents so you can direct that cool air in the cabin.

I did one on a 1981 268 years ago. The only thing that I would do is try to run the ductwork as high as you can. It is a pain but it will help. Make a bracket for a filter in front of the unit also.
