How far do you have to drive to your boat?

I have a 4 minute ride but sometimes it takes 16 minutes, someone is always forgetting something....Life Jacket, DS, Ipod, Book, Glasses, Keys to the boat (me) and did we let the dog back in the house??? We only remember that we forget something when I've parked the car and turned off the engine...

Just so you guys can have a little chuckle. I live 180 miles from our marina, it take's us 3 hours to get to the boat. Because of the distance, we only go every other week, but, when we do go we stay several days, so that makes the trip worth it. So far, we have never dreaded the trip once. R

What town do you live in?

We have friends at Willow Berm that live in Sparks. You guys are dedicated for sure!

47 miles .takes about 55 min. less if it was a crappy week at work, and a day early if its slow at work.

240 Miles, door to door. 3.5 hours if we have to stop for a meal or bathroom. We go 10 - 12 times per season, mostly long weekends. At least once a season we go for a week to 10 days. It's worth every minute of the drive.

We do this all the time ... maily because we are only 6 minutes away. If we drove as far as some of the others, we'd have a checklist and go over it 3 times before we departed the house.

About 6 minutes down the hill from my home. I can see the roof of my slip from the back deck.

We drive 1 and 1/2 hour one way every weekend for the past 10 years. Its worth every Min. At our marina we have one of the shortest drives from the people around us.

At our marina they charge by the size of the dock. But your 65 dollars per ft is about right. We had a 268 four winns for the last couple of years and a 30' dock was 1300 and now we moved up to the 32 sea ray we had to move to a 40' dock and it is 1900. The boat is in the water and we park in front of it. We have a carpet down and patio furniture with unbrella and dock box in front of the boat. About 75 to 80 % of the people at our marina sleep on their boat.

We are 90 miles away about a 1 1/2 hour drive (gotta love farm country!!) We go down friday morning and leave sunday late afternoon every weekend:thumbsup:

Trail at least an hour each way but the real pain is "standing off" the slip for up to 45mins waiting to put someone ashore to get the car and trailer into the que to wait your turn to haul out. Only take two or three minutes to drive the boat onto the trailer and pull out but the antics of some people using the ramps would be hilarious if you weren't stuck behind them in the que. On the positive side, I work from home and the boat lives in the driveway so I can nip out at lunch time and sort out odds and ends so I don't loose boating time at the weekend doing that.

4 minute drive (less than a mile as the crow flies ) to the marina. I spend a lot of time at the boat
