How far do you have to drive to your boat?

We live 10 miles north of the river and 90 miles south of the Finger Lakes in NY. Our slip is on the river at our Boat Club. We have a nice Clubhouse and will have shoreower this coming summer! This was the first year, with a cruiser, we let our boat in the water all summer. We only used our slip on weekends with the Carlson.....to nice to get a dirty bottom. Bottom paint on the 270 really cleaned up quick this Fall. We really enjoyed getting on the Sea Ray any time or day of the week and going for a ride or staying overnight. Not dealing with a launch ramp every weekend or boatride was nice. We're planning to trailer to larger water for some weekday boating vacations this year, Mike.

What did you get??

As of this year, 0.0 Miles as we now live on a lake.

Last year it was about 20 miles, 25-35 mins typically.

I just read through this whole thread. It amazes me that some of you drive (or fly) so far in order to get on your boats! That's commitment! Sometimes I feel so lucky that I live in Florida, and can boat nearly any weekend of the year. I live 70 miles from my boat, and it takes me about 1 1/2 hours, but it's worth it. I call my marina, the boat is in the water within an hour, and ready to go. I wish we had a larger boat, and could spend weekends - that is what I'm shooting for when I get nearer to retirement.

Well I am setting out this coming Saturday to drive down to where our boat will be wet slipped. I will leave around 5am on Saturday and hopefully I will arrive around 8pm on Sunday. It is about 2800km one way to get there. I will be dropping the car off at our marina there then hoping on a plane to fly up to Brisbane to pick up the boat and then after some shake down time on the Gold Coast Broadwater I will motor down the east coast of Australia to bring the baot back to our marina. Our marina is d'Albora Marina in Nelson Bay NSW Australia.

I went to the boat today to check on her & it took me 22min's to get to the marina . :smt001

15 miles and 20 minutes
Any further would be such a hassle, especially for those mid week maintenence projects
