How far do you have to drive to your boat?

It's probably about 150 steps but it's 21 degrees and snowing down there now. Boat is on the hard about 5 miles away in heated storage and an easy visit that I'll do in January to get started on winter projects.

10-15 mins depending on traffic.
She sits on her trailer in the boat compound, less than 100mtrs from the slip.
Sad I know but its not uncommon to call in on the way home from work and have a sit and look out over the estuary (my parking lot has a great view) and have a beer, who said boats have to be in the water!

225 miles.... each way and every mile is worth it.
funny thing is our other boat was 10 minutes away from the house and we stay aboard the new boat way more!... I guess we make the trip worth the drive.

The trip to Guntersville Lake from home was over 1 hr. We've moved to Ditto Landing on Wheeler Lake (area between Wheeler Dam and Guntersville Dam on the Tennessee River) which is less than 30 min. away, all highway, no cities to drive thru now.

How far is the dock where your boat is parked? If we buy im looking at appx 2 hour drive to pt pleasant NJ. Im in NE PA...:smt089

About 15minutes unless there is a lot of traffic at the gate to get on post. So not so bad. As for size I have a 270 Sundancer, 1988, sleeps six with a head, galley, shower, AC and we would go out for three or four days at a time without issues. And my step son is alreay 6ft 2inces. Of course now I have the 400EC and the 270 is on the market. But it has been a great boat for us.
We have one couple that live in NJ, and work at Ft. Dix. They drive down to Maryland every weekend to be on there boat. This year they even left it in the water for the winter.

We travel to the Poconos (I used to live there in the 80's) to go skiing.

If you love the water and being from Greece I am sure you do. Then just do it!!!

15 minutes from the garage to stepping into the boat at the marina.

Marina is on the west side of the island of Montreal. 7 minutes from home, in the summer we spend weeks on the boat, get up early drive home, shower and go to work. Love it.

I don't have to drive at all since I don't have her anymore. :smt089

If I stay in the same marina, which i will likely do, the next boat will be 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic.

15-20 minutes... just long enough to feel like we're going away from the house. There is a marina about 4 mins away and it seems like that would be just too close. Also amenities aren't as nice....

35 min to airport 59 min flight and 30 min to marina. About 450 miles away. Doing it for 7 years.

About 3 minute walk to my barn where it sits on its trailer...15 minutes to nearest lake...

What kind of airplane do you have? We just sold our 182 and are looking for an A36.

It is a two day drive for us one way and that is driving for 15 hours per day. Just over 3000 kms.

The birth costs gives us a car park space, ensuite facilities, cable TV plus shore power and water. Not bad really for $8k per year.

Seriously.... I'd have to find another hobby or source of relaxation. :)

Ten minutes from front door to dock. I live near Phila. and used to keep my boat in Maryland. It was a 40 min. drive to the boat in weekend traffic. No more, I found a marina on the Delaware river 10 Min. from my house, I'm there weekdays after work, weekends, anytime I want, Best move I ever made.

3 miles from our house to our dock. Some times it seems like the walk down the dock to the boat, is longer then the drive from the house to the dock. BUT I AM NOT COMPLAINING!

15min. I am in the process of moving from stacked storage to wet slip. Marinas are across the river from each other. May be moving upstream to another marina this summer that will make the commute into a 35min drive; however, other marina has better accommodations. However, the doubling of the drive time is a dominant factor in our decision.
