Well, I for one will certainly miss Four Suns.

He is certainly one of CSR's more experienced and serious boaters who was always ready and willing to share his experience so others could learn. I will also miss his intolerance for stupid, dangerous or wrong information posted on the boating part of the forum.

Who loses in this most recent turn of events? Not Gary.....certainly not the jerk that got banned, but the remaining CSR membership because the forum has lost a huge contributor to boating topics.

Seems like every good forum gets a few turds that float through every now and again. We get 'em on both Mercedes forums and the Contractor's forum...hell we even get a few on the GD Fire Sprinkler forum!!!:huh:

I know how Gary feels...I quit my HOA board because of this little douche bag that got elected to the board this year...figured I had enough to deal with besides getting crossed up with that prick.

Gary might be back...he probably needs to take a break for a while and let things cool down.:thumbsup:

You go thru life and study people and their behavior. You develop the ability to differentiate between BS and integrity. To fabricate something like this is not consistent with Gary's personality. There has been no BS in any of his posts. He calls it like he sees it. He may have a big ego, but from what I know of him, it is well earned. I have no loyalty to him, but I would just as easily come to his aid as I would to you if you deserved it IMO. For his positive contributions here, he deserves that.

No insult to Gary, but if you can't figure this one out, it must be really difficult for you to know who you can trust.

When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras. Certainly possible much of this was fabricated, but in all likelihood it wasn't, and the behavior by Arizona...if true...should give anyone pause. If not true, the possibility that it could be done by someone else is worthy of careful reflection.

As for egomaniacal behavior...it isn't bragging if you can back it up. Just my $.02

You know the sad part about this is the fact that this is a boating forum and I do believe some people jump in and spit out replies to others post without a clue of what they are talking about just to get themselves heard. They have some sad notion that if they reply they will be everyone’s “friend”. Gary has zero tolerance for the random posting of bad recommendations or incorrect responses and he has his own unique way of responding to such. Many times his replies, even though a tad arrogant, were just damn funny. I would bust a gut reading some of them. Maybe in some cases they were over the top, but that usually happened when the receiver took it way too personal and got vindictive. Then the *** for tad would start, thus fueling the argument.

Quarrelling online is one thing, but when it is taken to the extremes of posting personal information and hate mail it has gone too far. I think we have all learned by events of recent years that there are “nut jobs” out there and their behavior proves they don’t care about the consequences of their actions.

I don’t believe that Gary would make this up either. Why, it makes no sense. Besides you can tell by the writing style, it truly givens the author away. I think the “Grow up” comment needs to be throw in the other direction.

I have found this site to be both educational as well as entertaining. Sometimes that entertainment would come at the expense of others, but hell if we can’t laugh at ourselves once in a while….

The title of this thread is "bright future" but I don't see it as many of the more valuable contributers tend to contribute less and less and are finding other, more congenial sites to help boaters out. Unless and until the people that bring absolutely no value to CSR are weeded out, the "bright" future looks more and more dim to me.
