Looks great, so many questions as I’m looking to fit Davits to mine. These don’t look like Weavers, so what type? Standard length or extended? What length support struts did you use?

You fellas are scaring the crap out of me with the manifold and riser stories. I have no idea when they were done on mine. She’s been in fresh water throughout, has only 640 hours on each engine and all temps/pressures are normal. I was gonna invest in getting the B2 drives serviced/ bellows etc...

Yes, with the folding insert in place and forward bunk made up we use the space under for the soft bags/personal gear so it’s out of the way. No doors fitted but we do have several blankets (for our Swedish ‘summer nights’) which tastefully draped, hide any untidiness. I don’t have table storage...

On ours, the PO had replaced the OM table with a similar sized wood/teak version but I do have the same problem. It’s great to sit at, looks good and with the short leg in place provides for the large sun pad area ( not that we aver really use that). This season I’m gonna try using the small...

Next problem! I stupidly left the rubber welcome mat on the rear seat in the sun. Horrible stain which won’t come off any ideas before I call the shop to have it re covered?

Just to close this one out. Both pumps tested with a meter and getting power. I even jumped them direct to the battery n both run fine. So float switches seemed to be the culprits. Then noticed both float switches had a cut wire so neither of them were connected! I’d already bought a new one so...

Mine does this too when I run the tank dry, ( someone put the wrong glycol in so I’ve had to cycle flush 3 or 4 times this season) Anyway, apart from all the great tips from the others on this thread. If the pump is cycling and all taps are off. Turn off at the breaker, fill the tank, then open...

Jon. I had similar issues with drive tilt mechanisms. Did some testing before splashing last weekend and found the following. Switch mechanism and motors work fine and your directions confirmed :). The directional indicator had fallen off the throttle shifter. new one ordered to fit next week...

Would normally go to the maintenance forum for this type of thing but it’s a bit specific to “older” 290 Sundancers. my two bilge pumps both fitted to original SureBail float switches. (Photo shows arrangements after cleaning) the aft/lower pump works when switched on at the dash. I flooded the...

    Gear lube Monitor “Sludge”

Always nice to round of these threads with “what worked and what didn’t”. Eventually got the vent screws off each Bravo2 drive. (Soaking in WD40 cycled with mild heat from a paint stripping heat gun) then a re machined fat screw driver, all my weight on it and a clamp wrench to turn the...

Did a fair bit of research on this prior to my first winterization last year. Ran the tank low (25%) towards the end of season and added 1 shot of Red Line SI1 and 20ltrs of gas to assist mixing. Aim was to stabilize the remaining fuel in the tank for winter storage and ‘clean the injectors’...

    Gear lube Monitor “Sludge”

Just changed the Outdrive Gear Lube on the first of my 2000 5.0 EFI BravoII Drives. When I got to the point of closing up the vent and topping up to the Monitor bottle (as per instructions in the manual) I noticed that the bottom of the monitor bottle contained a significant amount of “sludge”...

Thanks, I’ll see where I get with the targeted hose test then probably have to go the same way. More pressing problem today. The Bravo II gear oil vent screws are seized on both units back tomorrow with a bigger screwdriver.
