Thanks everyone, I purposely asked for no aft Bimini and tall enough for me to stand up straight and walk off the boat. I’m 5’11” or that’s what I say one of my girls, twin 2A is 6’ and tells me I’m shrinking. The screens were an added bonus that I didn’t ask for. So care and maintenance. The whole package was $4300, talked him down from $4800 super nice guy. He’s making us a bow sun pad and recovered the aft bench back rest. He also does the flooring, I’m waiting on that estimate.
So since it definitely wasn’t free what is the best way to protect the isinglass when it’s rolled up. I’m thinking some thin towels.

Supposedly, the marina mechanic fixed it this morning, but I haven’t been down there yet. The guy in the office said they replaced a “fitting”. As always, thanks for the advice and suggestions guys!
So I’m curious what was “fixed”

Interested too, i keep a stock of spair water parts on the boat including water line elbows, 2 ft peices of water line and such.
Jeff you must do an Atlantic crossing, I’ve done it but it was on a few different big gray boats with guns and numbers

Hey everyone question: Getting my boat cleaned up and ready to splash it in. I have twin. 4.3’s. I have two battery switches and three batteries. Both switches are either on or off. I expected one to have the house option, but I don’t see it. Thoughts?

The dual battery is the house, generator and port engine.

Single battery is for the starboard engine only and can start the port engine with the emergency toggle.

Thanks Little Ducky. I don’t have a genny on mine, but that’s probably not a factor. Surprised there isn’t a way to isolate the house from the port battery, but I guess the emergency start system essentially will get you out of a jam if the starboard side gets run down.

Hey Ted, I have the same arrangement, but with a genset I have not done much investigation into it, but soon. I watch Pacific Yacht System videos on YouTube and have learned a ton. I’m leaning to the newer “smart” battery isolator that takes the place of the switches and is automatic. My .02

Shark , mine does that when the water tank is low, I guess it loses suction and keeps trying to run.
Mine does this too when I run the tank dry, ( someone put the wrong glycol in so I’ve had to cycle flush 3 or 4 times this season) Anyway, apart from all the great tips from the others on this thread. If the pump is cycling and all taps are off. Turn off at the breaker, fill the tank, then open the galley taps (hot and cold) to relieve any remaining pressure and or air locks, also ‘flush’ the head. Then re engage the breaker. Full tank should then prime the pump. Works for me anyway! Good luck!

I didn’t speak to the mechanic, but the guy in the office just said they replaced a fitting…when I find out what fitting, I’ll let you know.
Hey Shark, did you ever get a straight answer?

Hey crew, going to work on the trim solenoid Saturday any pictures on where it’s located? Starboard engine by the way.
