I think is should it tends to divide people, we should stay focused on boating only. Unless politics starts effecting the boating industry and our freedom.

 Think we are already there!

Yes I agree! Now tell me again about ethanol 10 % - up to eventually perhaps 25% and the ethanol $1.00 plus per gallon subsidies?.

Politics affects economics. Economics affects the boating industry. Just ask your local boat dealer how this economy is affecting him.

I want to thank the 211 members who took the time to vote in this poll and post comments to the thread. I must admit to being a bit surprised with how close the final results are.

Thanks,

John

Since I'm on most everyone's ignore list I guess this is rather futile but....... I think that any political post should be DIRECTLY related to boating or it should not be posted. If it is posted it should be removed by the moderators immediately.

The Obama/Pelosi/Reed jokes, the unending liberal trashing and general acceptance of ultra-conservative bile as truth really incites a response from those who disagree. To be honest almost everything I have read on this thread is saying "we don't want to censor political discussions, except when it disagrees with us".

I vote ban politics and religion from the site. Then we can remove the ignore feature, talk about SEA-RAYS and all get along like adults.

I have no one on the ignore list. If I can't take it I don't dish it out. If you post hostile then expect the same.
No threat intended just fact. Let's get over ourselves and post intellegent comments without 3rd grader tactics.
IMHO.

Hey now someone of my best one liners have been on the hostile side :)

How do you put people on the "ignore list"? I have some "friends" and coworkers I would not mind adding to that list....:wow::smt101

Diff between cats and dogs.

Dog says. He takes care of me, he feeds me, he gives me a dry warm place to bed down, he loves me even when I mess up. He must be God.

Cat says. He takes care of me, he feeds me, he gives me a dry warm place to bed down, he loves me even when I mess up. I must be God.

Having grown up on the farm I think pigs fit into the dog category. Though I never had one for a pet.

Agreed!! I can't stand Obama, Pelosi, or Reed and I will never invite them on my boat!! There.

I have to stand up for Captain Sundancer here and ask that you quit calling him a pig!

LOL I call the Captain many a names, but PIG is not one them. We both reserve that right and title to Ko-Jac. Although he is CLUELESS what a PIG is. He just thinks he part of the family. All pretty normal for the pig!

My Dad grew up on a farm that had pigs too. There was this one piglet that had to be bottle feed, my dad was about 6 or 7. To hear my Grandmother and my Father tell it, she was smarter then the pig in Charolet and the pig in babe and the pig in green-acres combined. She grew very large, "biggest sow I ever saw" My father and grandmother would say.

This pig followed my dad like a dog. He would come home from school the pig would greet him at the bus. The pig was allowed to sleep in the back mud room off the kitchen of the farm house. (Unless she had piglets, then she had her own stall in the barn.)

My Grandfather often threaten to butcher the big old sow, his excuse not to was, "she was a good mother and threw good babies". To hear my father and grandmother tell it, Grandpa knew the price to pay from Grandma was TOO HIGH!

I grew up with stories of that big smart loyal pig. So 2 years ago when our son bought his dad a 6 week old 4 pound pig, I wasnt against the idea. I had a little bit more insight as to what was coming then poor cptsundancer did. :smt038

Just to keep this political and religious. KJ is not a registered voter!
