Fighting the disease

" I've had performance , it was a 2011 GT500 shelby, nothing could beat it"

I have to disagree Boltman....

Wow that Merc is fast, the caption said "stock with traction control off".

That Rustang driver was definitely asleep at the light but the terminal speeds at the end of the quarter or whatever they were running (and the win light) tell an interesting story: Merc 120 mph Rustang 114. 7 mph ........... at the big end 5 MPH is HUGH!!

Question: What is the best way to make a MEGA HORSEPOWER street vehicle do 12's in 1/4 mile or whatever it is that we run today??

Answer: Take it to a dragstrip!!

Just saw the new 2015 jaguar f-15 R series, nice v-8 supercharged 550hp and very cool to look at.

The only view any Mustang has of this little indulgence is this one....

911 Speedster - air cooled and Supercharged, stock 247 HP. Supercharged to just under 450 HP. Just a lot of fun - though not very practical

Not much room under there with the extra plumbing :smt038

Ok great news , out of the blue tonight the admiral tells me to go get the 750li , but lease it incase we figure out we don't really like it after 2 years. Can you believe that , so why then when they say NO do you want to buy it even more then they say ok and you say ahhh I don't know????

A good dealer will let you spend a few days in a demo to see how it fits you. Don't hesitate to ask.

I typically don't advocate leasing because since the economic collapse, residuals have been too low. You end up paying too much over the lease term. However that is not my place to make the call for you. There may be a 27 or 30 month lease that could be more attractive payment wise. But, since you are leasing, I suggest going ahead and ordering one the way you like. Build one online to determine what you want.

Thanks Nick , this dealership I'm looking at has two exactly they way I want it., I figure this if I don't like it at least I didn't pay 87,900 for it, the residual will be on the contract so I'll know that ahead of time for sure. I'm not really hip on leasing either but I think it's the wisest route to take who know it might be the best car I've ever owned.

Good for you! Being a boat owner used to quirks and maintenance, I think you will be amazed at the level of support at the dealer level with a BMW. Like, pickup and delivery, loaner car, and everything. I would not do an extended warranty or additional maintenance pre paid unless your lease term is longer than the warranty period.

Welcome to German car ownership.

As per maint included my wife's E350 has the maint included and if not the oil change last month was $800 ridiculous but the add maint per month is $32 you mah want to ask anyway. Best of luck with it. See if they have the Alpina7. It's the M series for the 7's

What I drive now is a 2010 F450 diesel 4door 4x4 well it's actually a 6x6..and I drive the Wifes Cadillac SRX to and from the office we ride together . Just sold my 2011 Shelby GT500 and now I want something more luxurious and a much better ride.

Go with a CPO but get rid of the crappy run flat tires that BMW uses...those things are junk. We have a 2013 X5 that we bought brand new and last week I replaced the Michelin run flats with Goodyear Eagle F1's.... amazing difference in ride and handling.

Thanks!! I will check them out when I have to replace mine...

I didn't know BMW ran Goodyear tires on them. I'd ask because I would want Continental or Michelin tires on it.
