Its been 2 1/2yrs. been there done that !!. I give over $10.000 a year to our local Rape & Batter Women Center. Denise has a room named after her. :smt001. Some of the people on here are just plain a$$holes. :smt013.

You've rec'd a variety of advice. Kick his a$$?? Those that advise that probably don't know if you have an ounce of kick a$$ in you. You obviously don't like what he did so let him know in whatever fashion you are more comfortable useing. Personaly I don't see that one incident as described requires marina managements intervention. On the other hand should this continue, I think they should be notified and perhaps the local authourities also.

Check out the OP's comment above. The way I read it sounds like they have put up with the guy for a few weeks and this was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I am lost. When did Wayne say his wife was killed? Was it implied? Did someone guess, and then get their answer through his response? Who is Wayne? Is he a member that signed on as a guest to save his identity? Whatever the answers, if the story is as it seems, it is truly tragic, and I am very sorry for his loss as well as Pres's.

Don't be offended by a group of men who gather on a forum - sometimes for boat info, and other times for relaxation and entertainment. Granted, this is not a topic for entertainment for someone who has lost a loved one to a similar, potentially innocent approach with the most devastating of results. For others, one of the joys of boating is gawking at scantily clad ladies.

This dock mate was out of line, but many of us have been in the past and yet are completely nice, kind, friendly folks. He needs to be put in his place. We don't need to feel guilty for joking about boobs in a public, mostly male boating forum.

I want to re-emphasize that 99.99999% of us are completely symphathetic to an individual who has suffered such a loss. That was not the topic of conversation, and if it was, I didn't follow it.

Oh yeah, that rings a bell. I still don't think anyone was making light of Wayne's World's situation. The OP was concerned about a comment to his girlfriend that crossed a line. That seemed to get blown out of proportion. Summerwind and Captain Joe need to have a talk for sure.

Sometimes it's hard to tell, when first meeting certain "types", whether they're just jokesters, or assholes...

Honestly, I've never been the jealous type. I have an attractive wife, I expect men to look at her... hell, I did...

My response would be determined by my wife's. I doubt she would be offended by such a remark, as long as it didn't degrade into something more crude. I'm sure she'd laugh it off and say something along the lines of "when hell freezes over"...she's the type to give it right back... not the "quiet type"...Nor would I be the type to get the 'ol "beer muscles" into gear over such a "relatively" benign comment.

However, if your wife was offended (and she has a right to be) I'd handle it the way Dave suggested at the beginning of this thread.
