Yes, I heard the tape on Stern this morning, just the timing of the post made me think of Stern first, and was the only place I heard about it.

Honestly, I've never been the jealous type. I have an attractive wife, I expect men to look at her... hell, I did...

My response would be determined by my wife's. I doubt she would be offended by such a remark, as long as it didn't degrade into something more crude. I'm sure she'd laugh it off and say something along the lines of "when hell freezes over"...she's the type to give it right back... not the "quiet type"...Nor would I be the type to get the 'ol "beer muscles" into gear over such a "relatively" benign comment.

However, if your wife was offended (and she has a right to be) I'd handle it the way Dave suggested at the beginning of this thread.

Been there now, and read that. Now it makes sense. Very sorry for everyone's losses. If you haven't read the thread, please do so (handguns). I hate mixing fun with tragedy. We need to separate these topics out. It seems disrespectful, but I'm sure that's not anyone's intentions. It's a sick world out there. We alll need to do what we can to minimize the pain for our own and others'.

Who was it that said, "May you live in interesting times"? Sometimes it seems they are too interesting.

How sad that some of you could not keep your stupid jokes to yourself when it was clearly obvious that they were causing pain to a man whose wife was beaten, raped, brutalized and murdered. Then, worse still, have no shame.

Im sorry, I dont think anyone here is being insensitive. So we should stop being sexual or joking around about a subject that has NOTHING to do with rape? Shall we forever now on CSR refuse to talk about boobs or hot chicks or similar?

It is not our fault that Wayne decided to take an inane subject about a disrespectful dockmate and turn it into a possible rape scene. I was actually flabbergasted that he participated in that capacity. OF COURSE WE ARE ALL UPSET AND BESIDE OURSELVES what happened to Wayne's wife, and feel HORRIBLE about it. How many threads shall we police to be sure we are sensitive to posters? Hey, Im sensitive to religion, shall I now leave because I dont want to frikkin hear about church or god?

Im not apologizing for any posts I have made. If someone is that sensitive to a subject, they can just not participate in the conversation on a bulletin board where you have a choice not to read it or not.

Wayne, I am terribly sorry for your loss, and ONLY wish you can find happiness and courage to go on with life.
