Great video. John Graviskas from Ship Shape TV... used to watch that show all the time, it was very informative. Wonder what ever happened to him?

I replaced the Duff-Norton $500+ linear actuator with this one for $65. I had to re-use the adapter that extends the ram about 1". Took a little bit of adjusting the length. I will add an indicator light to show automatic power shut off, but I may have to shut the up and down motion manually. This is what I used:

My oil guage on the dash is bouncing around while under way. I called the local Cummins dealer and they told me the part number is 3897170 for the oil transducer but is is out of stock and he didn't know when it would be available. Mine has the single wire. Has anyone found a source or a replacement for this?

Replaced mine a few years ago with this one found on amazon.

Has anyone ever pulled the three waste tank level sensors and clean them successfully?
Is it maintenance that lasts, or should I just buy replacement sensors for $250 + tax?

Mark them, and remove and clean them. Worked for me on this and other boats. Add a little liquid Tide laundry detergent to your holding tank once in a while will help keeps things working.

Pulled mine and cleaned a few seasons ago and they now work extremly well. I do use Noflex digester (Carters Poopy Poweder) religiously and strongly encourage family and guest to put very little TP down the toilet.

I pulled all three sensors, one of which (Full) had been replaced by prior owner and was working fine, but couldn't get the Half and Empty sensors to work after cleaning. Replaced both and the guage is reading properly now.

Alternator Question- The original appears to be a Delco Remy 22SI 130AMP. Are you replacing with the same model or doing something different? Maybe getting them rebuilt? I see the 22SI is now rated at 150Amp..

Yes - when I replaced the whole tank - but easily done (be careful - the floats can get a bit brittle). I used a flathead screwdriver to scrape the scale off.

Hi - I apologies because I'm sure this question has been asked and answered before ... but I am looking to remove the rear cockpit cushion to bring it to an upholstery shop. How do I loosen it / get it off?

I assume you're speaking about the seat backs? Lift up and remove the bottom cushion and you'll see tabs sticking out from under the bottom of the seat back cushion. Remove the screws and lift the cushion straight up.

I would say they’re for the gen set and AC strainers.
Why not buy a 3/4” drill bit and tap and and make it a permanent upgrade?
