420 DA Thread

I just spent the time to look up the last part I bought when the fridge died. It was for the 12v side $359. The fridge was dead at the dock….. so I never had 110v

Hey Blueone. I splashed yesterday and once I got in my slip started looking over things. Here’s a pic of my Lofrans. Please share any tips. I said a few choice words when I saw this.

Don’t use up all your choice words before you start….. you’ll need them

I put a lot of I think liquid wrench down there and left it for a couple days. Then I bought a long punch and tapped it with a hammer clockwise…. The stainless is soft so the punch will imbed. It’s a really slow process …. Your other option is to drill it out or drill it and right hand tap the hole out with a bottoming tap.
I looked there are no right hand ez outs
If you go up in the thread the replacement bolt source is listed and the price
Sorry to hear your pain very bad design

. Thanks for the tips. Just ordered the $161 nut. They sure must be proud of it at that price.

Having bilge detailed while cooling is dismantled.
Touch up the Ceramic coat hull / deck.
Add new black dash panels w/ recess for the Axiom Screens.
Add new Raymarine card reader to dash for easy access.
Replace Helm seat w/ new Arrigoni S-3B Seat.
Raise the companion bench seat 3,1/2" and add storage below.
May have to Make Teak / Wood cockpit floor riser?
Paint Anchor chain at 10' intervals.
Replace all bronze bushings on hydraulic lift links.
Change out the Magnesium anodes Hull and Lift ( Fresh Water ).
Prep and Bottom paint!

Get some trips planned between projects.
"Replace Helm seat w/ new Arrigoni S-3B Seat." - I see those cost $1,895 ... with the cost of reupholstery on such a complicated chair ... that option probably ended up saving you money.

Added some speakers on the bow last weekend. I don’t care for the look of the wakeboard tower speakers, so thanks to a picture on here decided to go the stealth route. This way when moored at Catalina and hanging out on the bow we just open the bow locker hatches. The rest of the time the boat looks “normal”.

Had to upgrade the amp at the same time so when with the new 8-channel Fusion Apollo series. The rest of the speakers and subs in the cockpit sound quite a bit better as well. Win-win…

@Chief Ed - we will be out at Catalina (Avalon) this weekend. If you are there - stop by and say "hi". We will be on #165.
