205 Sport thread?

I did get a couple of videos but cannot figure out how to get it on my PC from my video camera. The other videos I took from my camera came out sideways and I cant figure out how to rotate it. :smt021

As for the shin, Im pretty sure Im done for the season, I cant even get a shoe on right now.

Ah...yea, remember you posting that in wakeboard threag.

Sorry I cant help ya...im on a mac and know almost nothing about pc.

That blows about the shin. I lost a season of ice hockey because of a broken kneecap...hated it.

How does everyone deal with the 205 seat? It is uncomfortable to sit and drive as the top of the windshield seems to be right in the line of sight. I remember reading some solutions on another thread about sitting on throwable PFDs, etc... but I was wondering if anyone with a 205 has swapped out the seat for a bolster or different post, etc.. Any ideas?

I already have the bolster seats in mine. No problems seeing over the windshield with them. It would be nice to see over the windshield without using it though.

Good for you. It gets old standing all day. I am thinking off season swap but wondering about cost/effort. I need to call the dealer and see what they would charge for the bolster seat.

Hi all. I haven't been on here for a while and just noticed the 205 thread! All the details of my 205 are in my signature. It has a depth gauge, Clarion stereo with amp and 4 speakers, compass, and bimini (installed after purchase). Basically bought a leftover 2006 in 2007. First time boat owner too.

Regarding the seats, I am one of those guys who uses the throwable pfd's to see over the windshield. I use three of them and I use a bungie cord to secure them to the seat cushion. It's a cheap alternative to buying a new seat for now, and it works!

I'll try to find some pics and post them later.

I have to say that I see through the windshield fine. I am usually sitting and relaxing back...I only stand when there is a lot of debris in the river, or when the sun is getting low and the reflection off the glass is brutal.

We new we wanted bolster seats, so are dealer found some that were on a 205 and swapped them for an additional $300. This might be an option if your seats are in good shape.

Ill play...good to see some other 205's.
'08 205, 5.0 mpi, sirius satellite and upgraded stereo with subs, Monster tower MT2 with racks and bimini, drop in magnetic ski tow, carpet, depth finder etc....pretty much every option.

Wow, when I saw your pictures I thought it was my boat. Well, a larger version.

My wife loved the blue color.

Great pics, I love the blue  Where did you get the mirror? We've been looking for something just like that.

It is a Monstertower mirror for my tower, but they have different sized brackets. Awesome quality, i must say
http://shop.monstertower.com/c-6-tower-mirrors.aspx

However, west marine has mirrors too, as well as some other .com's

Im getting used to the blue, as I have no choice :smt001

Thanks Bill, I will look into that one. Ive checked other sites and havent found one Ive liked yet.

I guess we are in the same boat so to speak. Im getting used to the yellow, but really wanted blue lol

Just noticed you all were discussing mirror arms....

I truly love mine! I ordered it from Wakeside.com about two years ago and it has performed flawlessly ever since! One of the better purchases I have made for the boat....

Mirror sits up high, I can still see between the mirror and the winshiled and most importantly, you can view the skier/wakeboarder/tuber almost all of the time (except when they make a really hard cut, you just run out of mirror!)

Here's a pic....

Very nice setup  Got a few speakers up there dont ya
I like your mirror setup, is that the stock searay tower? I cant remember what size the tower is to order the mirror arm. Some are adjustable and some arent, do you remember what size it is?

Uugghh...a 195 sport owner in the 205 sport thread...

Just kidding! ( I have to quantify all humor now)

That mirror looks cool! They have one for the monster tower...similar in design which I like, but it was over $200. As it was, spending $165 for a mirror was enough for me, considering I dont think we have a mirror in our HOUSE that was more than a hundred bucks.

Kenny....

Thanks for the compliments! It can become somewhat noisy at times, but, like always, ends up being alot of FUN!

Yes, it's a stock Sea Ray tower. Came with the boat. The diameter of the tower tubing is 1 7/8"....

I think I gave $140ish for the arm.....

Billandamy...

Love the humor! I almost DIDN'T post this up because it was the 205 thread but, I figured you all wouldn't mind.... More than happy to share any info! Oh, by the way, I see you installed that Monster Tower.... Looks great on the boat! They make some really great products and their customer service is exceptional!

Thanks for the info, I went out and measured mine before I read this, but thanks for confirming it. I ordered a mirror and arm from the Monsters site :smt001

I see you are in Houston, I hope you arent planning on riding out IKE. We are expecting 60mph winds and alot of rain over here in La Grange. I know Houston is suppoed to be alot worse.
