205 Sport thread?

Wanting to know if anybody has Sirius satelite radio installed on there 205 Sport. I'm installing it on my boat with the kind that can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. Just wondering were the antenna might be hidden at? This is one of the upgrades I'm doing to my new 08' Sport. I just installed a new dual battery switch last weekend. Thanks for the help.

Glock and browneye (lol, ok so I have a filthy mind),

Congrats to you both! Great boat for zipping around. Glock yours looks very nice! I like the graphics on that year.

Principal SKinner- I have the built in unit with Sirius, so not the removable one, but the antenna is mounted on the port side, at the bow, in front of the windshield on a little flat surface.

Pic of it here on my boat, it is the white bump on the far left of pic. Hope that helps.

Thanks BillAndAmy, I can thank my college friends for the nickname. It's never taken on any forums for some reason so it works well on the net.

Is there any sort of cure for the constant need to look at boat, lake and skiing pictures while you wait for delivery of your boat?

I've had a boat for 3 years now and I am constently looking at different pictures and websites waiting for summer time. Good luck with the new boat and try to stay sane until summer.

lol...good nickname. I wonder how many people pick up on it.

There is no cure. Even I, who isnt a "boater" per se found myself looking at the same frikkin brochure for weeks. Now I dont care so much about the boat as I do about the wakeboarding that results from having the boat. Two weeks until the season begins :smt038

Awww wakeboarding. I just bought the boat last Saturday and picked up the new wakeboard on Sunday. This will be my first time to be towed with a tower. I'd jump in the water right now if the boat was here.

Cool! Growing up we didnt have a tower and it was fine. With the tower, you can get a lot more air, and it also makes a nice place to store the racks!

I had to get an aftermarket tower (monster mt2) because the stock SR tower would not fold below the windshield, and thus wouldnt fit in my garage :smt013

What board did ya get?

Yea... growing up we didn't have a tower either, just pulled off the low ski eye that was pretty much below the waterline underway.

I think I read through your thread about your tower install. My dad bought the same 205 sport last year but he didn't get it with the tower.

I picked up a Liquid Force Trip 142 from a local shop that was going out of business. Paid $200 for the board and bindings.

The tower install was easy. I am going to help my buddy Matt ( he is "slacker" on this site, but hasnt been here much) who has a 2006 205 sport, put his tower on when it gets warmer in a couple of weeks.

Nice board at a great price! Did you get bindings too?

I also have an "official wakeboarding threag" in here somewhere, you can check that for some riders on this board who posted some vids and pics.

Yep, board and binding for $200, I was planning on waiting a few weeks to let my wallet cool down after the down payment I made but the price was to good to pass up.

Yea, 200 is cheap, way too cheap to let go. Congrats, that board will give you a great ride. I assume you got the domain bindings, thats the ones they usually pair this board with. You will probably want to upgrade those at some point if so.

It actually has Alpha bindings... which compared to the board I was on last summer a Hydroslide w/ velcro bindings these bindings are amazing (at least in my living room they are)

OK yea, the Alpha's are much better, thats a good deal.

I cant say anything really anyway, I have the Omni's. But I do really like them. Im going to get this season out of them and get a new board and bindings over the winter.

Along with the boat my MM dealer gave me $200 in boater bucks to use at their store. My question is what would you have purchased that didn't come w/ your boat?

I assume they already gave you a "coast guard kit"? If not, I'd buy all of that stuff first. If they did give that to you already,I would think maintenance items you will need to get eventually like wax and wash stuff, cleaners etc...

If you are doing your own oil/drive fluid changes, how about that stuff?

Be practical at first, is what I would say.

Suhweet... just got off the phone with my dealer where he informed me that my boat is ready. Current plan is to take delivery on this coming Thursday... hello Summer!

Yay... picked her up yesterday.. posted some pictures in another thread.

My only complaint for now is that the way they have the bimini top setup is way to low for me. I'm 6' 2" and I can't stand up under it. The delivery captain told me if they mount it any higher it wouldn't be able to collapse... I plan to test this theory this weekend and see if I can get it pushed up higher.
