205 Sport thread?

Ok pics as promised, I finished installing the Wetsounds Pro 80's and Alpine amp today, finished the depthfinder yesterday and added a small compass. Also added a second battery and switch and a seperate volume control for the tower speakers. Overall very pleased how it all turned out, the speakers are very loud and very clear. I couldnt be happier. Now to take her out thursday and see how it all works on the water.

Awesome! Love it, looks sweet!

Ok, now that I see your boat I think we should do yellow background, black lettering instead of just black...but...it depends on how crazy youre willing to get with install of the lettering. Two layers is slightly more difficult, but if you take your time you'll be fine. Ill email you tomorrow from work.

Everything looks sweet! Getting a bit jealous.

Nice Jerry...and very small.

It always looks bigger when there is nothing to compare it to. Kind of like in the locker room.

Thanks!

It's my 1st Searay and the family's 3rd.

My father had a 97 370da which he traded in on his current boat.

I prefer my more nimble craft, his is just too big to take out on a whim.

Just found this site.

I have an '07 205 Sport with the 5.0. Didn't get one with all the bells and whistles last year when we bought it so now we are in the process of some upgrading as we speak.

I dropped my boat off at Hydrotunes in Austin to get full stereo installed. I'm picking it up on Tuesday and when we get back from vacation at Lake Amistad I will post some additional pics.

I'm replacing the Clarion deck with an IPOD controllable Sony deck. I'm getting the wired remote installed by the steering wheel with an additional water proof RF remote for controlling while floating in the water. We are installing 6 - Wetsounds XS650 and 2 - Wetsounds XF10FA (10in free air subs). I'm powering it with a big 6 channel amp from Arc Audio and using an additional battery with switch as well. I cannot wait to use next week.

I don't have a tower for it yet but have plans to add one this winter. I have gotten a few names from people that make them but don't want to be without my boat for 2-3 weeks during the summer.

Thanks for the thread!

Here are your pics (just copy the img code to here from Photobucket like I did below. (also, before the signature police get you, it helps if you put your boat info in your signature so folks know what you have for a boat if you have questions about it)

Nice Boat!

Nice boat and pics  Sounds like you got the right idea going with the upgrades too. Where are you guys staying when you go to Amistad? We were trying to plan a trip there, but cant decide where to stay. We have a motorhome, but with the price of gas I dont know if we are going to take it that far.

My family has been going there for 10 years or more and we always stay at the Laguna Diablo resort. I use the term resort loosely. :)

They are just your basic cabin and are located about 20 mins north of Del Rio on the "Devils Arm" of the lake.

The water is amazing and there are usually very few boats on the lake. Its a grat place for families and Acuna is a short drive to some good eating/shopping!

I love the tower you have on our boat. Is that the Sea Ray one? I met a guy last year on Lake LBJ who had a tower built for his Larson and this year met a guy with a 205 on Lake Travis who had one built as well. Both places were in the 3K range with integrated bimini top and pre-wired for speakers. Really kicking myself for not getting the upgrade at p.o.s. and financed with the boat. Probably would have been about $15/month.

Oh well... you learn right?

You are correct about the tower, its the stock searay tower. I knew we would want one and glad I got it. I do know the "resort" you are talking about at Amistad and you are correct, the water is awesome. Its just such a long drive Im not sure we want to spend the gas on taking the motorhome and boat out that far. Most likely we will just take the boat. Ive been going there since 1985 and love it there.

We havent been to acuna in probably 5 years though. I love the restraunts over there, I just havent felt all that safe taking my family over there lately.

Hey Bill I finally got around to taking a pic of the boat name that you did for me. My wife and I are very happy with the way it turned out. Thanks a bunch for doing this and for so much cheaper than I could have gotten it someplace else.

I woulda posted this sooner, but Ive been having problems getting around lately. I hit my lower leg on my nephews head last weekend while we were on the tube together and I just found out I have a hairline fracture on my lower shin. :smt013

Hey Ken...

Awesome! You did a great job applying too! Im very glad you likeit...now if only Slacker would snap a pic and post it...

Ouch on the shin...are you going to use it as an excuse to not videotape your wakeboarding?

Hope ya feel better soon. I know thats going to hurt for a little while.

I did get a couple of videos but cannot figure out how to get it on my PC from my video camera. The other videos I took from my camera came out sideways and I cant figure out how to rotate it. :smt021

As for the shin, Im pretty sure Im done for the season, I cant even get a shoe on right now.
