Thanks appreciate that…. I googled but nothing…. I looked thru a 2005 420 parts manual and they don’t show an exhaust at allI'm pretty sure it's just a drip ring not a thru hull piece. I'll try to do some research on where I saw them...

My manual does show a diesel generator exhaust, it looks like it's a SS thru hull. Thanks appreciate that…. I googled but nothing…. I looked thru a 2005 420 parts manual and they don’t show an exhaust at all
I would have to think they are thru hulls. My manual does show a diesel generator exhaust, it looks like it's a SS thru hull.
I would have to think they are thru hulls.
I will remove paint and see what it looks like….might just try a season like that and see how it goes
So I came across this: https://www.stainlessmarine.com/shop/5-exhaust-polished-stainless-beauty-ring-for-5-od-pipe/but with the boat in deep freeze I cant really say it's what I have...Is the ring an actual thru hull fitting or just a drip ring, glued or something?….. I wouldn’t mind looking like a 2005
At the exhaust outlet for the engine and generator Searay bottom painted around this area. Does anyone know why? In 2005 they didn’t paint and added a stainless ring.
I am thinking of removing the paint and bringing back gel coat. I could always go back to paint I guess if it gets looking bad from the exhaust water.

Has anyone added an electronics power switch to the helm switches?
I'd like to add a power switch to control power to the helm electronics. It appears from the wiring schematics that everything is powered from the same "Electronics Fuse Block" which to my knowledge has constant power as long as the batteries are on.
Can anybody with some electrical expertise talk me through the correct way to safely wire that up? I did purchase the required rocker switch.
Is there power at the light fixture ? Possible burned-out old-style bulb or a new LED mounted backwards ?Recently purchased 2005 420 DA. Have been going through all systems the last couple of days and catching things the surveyor did not.
My issue is that my lower cockpit lights as well as my stair led lights do not work. There is power going to and from both switches but no lights.
There is an extra wire on the lower right part of the switch that has no power regardless of what position the switch is in. The wire is pictured.
Has anyone run into anything similar? Not easy chasing wires in a boat.
Any ideas would really be appreciated.
Regards,
Matt

Yes start at the bulb and work back to the switchAre you sure the bulb is good? Put a meter on the contact points and see.
