Do people laugh when you get on Ch 16? The marina staff is probably on the floor rolling when you call in.

I think your next boat name should be "Gaylord Fokker" (from the movie "Meet the Parents")

We upgraded our stereo and my wife loves to dance on the boat. So she wants to name our boat "DANCING QUEEN". I told her no way.

My wife suggested a bunch of fufu names. Then I threatened to make it "The Basshole" and she piped down.

Haha...good thread, some great names!

Ours is "Serendipity", as it was the first "date" movie my wife and I watched together, and it is one of our favorites still. As well, love that word and it's meaning...fortunate accident. Kind of describes how we met and in reality, how life often times is.
lol - our first date movie was "40 yr old virgin" lol that'd make for a funny boat name! (we then watched wedding crashers - it was a drive-in)

Well hopefully Neptune doesn't weigh in on this forum since we have not have not conducted a proper renaming ceremony. The name on the boat when we bought it was "Otrucs" which I believe was the name of PO's company. My wife wanted to name it after her home business which I promptly nixed. Then I suggested "Bobweiser King of Piers" which she nixed. Finally she came up with "Moonraker" after the James Bond movie with Roger Moore. My first reaction was a James Bond flick give me a break. Then for grins I looked up the meaning of moonraker to see if it was anything remotely related to boating. Much to my surprise it is. A moonraker is a sky or top sail on a square rigged sailing vessel so I agreed. Now the Admiral will have to drink her Grey Goose Martinis Shaken but not Stirred!:smt038

My wife's family is from Puerto Rico so I wanted something to reflect that. Alegria (A-LAY-GRIA) means happiness/warm feelings loosely so that is what I wanted. But of course no one would know that and mis-pronounce it and think of something else..

So second was Toy-4-Us around a Toy for family time on the water!!!

We have wanted a boat for a long time. We finally bought one back at the beginning of 2008. We thought naming the boat "Keep Dreamin" would be very appropriate. Some would say that it is being arrogant.

Saoirse - it translates to "freedom" or "liberty" in Gaelic.

Yellow Fever- I always did like the asian girls...just ask the wife- 100% chinese:grin:

I had always wanted to do "The Cunning Linguist"- but just couldn't pull the trigger.

Our boats name is Fire Escape as I'm a firefighter and the family and I love to get away on boat as much as we can.

Summer Quarter$, its a play on words in several ways, first thats what we use the boat for, our summer quarters. Second our last name is Quarterson and I put the $ in for the final 's' since its our primary hobby and where we spend our spare change.

Well our 30' Searay is named (City Limits) Due to the fact when you cross her transom That's the city limits Leave the city behind and Enjoy.:smt038
And our 25' Hawaiian is named ( Days away )Due to the fact that on the Drilling rigs our days off are called days away
and after 26 years i'm to the point I wish they all where Days away.

La Nostra which means "Ours". It is the first thing my husband and I bought together.

When my son was 2, everything he touched...pacifiers, hats, sunglasses, towels, sneakers, etc...went 'Overboard'. I used to drive the boat with a fishing net in my hand. And I learned how to make u-turns very quickly.

Having a blended family with six kids, and having another one, is a little overboard too.

I was lucky enough to meet and marry an amazing woman from Tennessee by the name of Julie. Therefore our boats name Tennessee Jewel.

KNOTAKONDO...Just looking for a cool name, and did a version of Not a Condo. Looks very tropical on the boat!

My first boat had no name, second a 27' Sundancer, named "Oui Cheri" Yes Dear in French...she never caught on....
3rd boat is a 340 Sundancer named Julia Rose, my granddaughter

BAY DREAMER boating in the St Lawrence at Alexandria bay. If I am not there or if I am, I am always Bay Dreaming
