Whats your Boats name and what does it mean to you

I traded for a 1988 268DA last year. The name on the boat was "Sea Flat"...I liked it and so far have kept it. It sorta fits because my wife hates rough water..By the way-the boat came from the great lakes area-Anybody in here remember this boat? Would like to talk to previous owner...thanks...

i was born in ireland and we called an apartment a" FLAT" maybe thats the reference the previous owner ment? ( a sea apartment)

"SNICKERTIME"

The 07' 185 was about to be named "User Error" after my career in computers, but after this past long winter of not being on the water, I realized that I say "it's snicker time" a lot. I have a 'small' addiction to Snickers bars. Buy them by the box (48). :smt001

My first boat (Crownline) was unnamed for about three years. Then while having a few cocktails on the water, one of my friends wife started saying "Go FIGure", and kept repeating it. I thought she'd had a lot to drink, then I realized she was saying the name we will end up using on our boat. My last name starts with the letters FIG, so everybody calls me FIG, so "Go FIGure"

Our second boat, a 05' 260 Sundancer, my wife named her "Fulana". I'm from PR, so a "Fulana" is that girl (hot) you see ocationally, but you can't remember her name, so she becomes a "Fulana". (a someone)
There a few interpretations for Fulana, but.......

A lot of Goode Names here, this is FUN, keep it up!

Cheers,
FIG

:thumbsup:BLU RAY, before I upsized to this boat I had a 200 overnigher and got a slip on reserve so we could cruise to the marina and pull in and dock with out trouble.Well when we approched the marina they asked if I was the little searay with the blue stripe,at that time i didnt think i was to little until they docked me between a 34 and 38 footer.so now im blu ray with the sr symbol between

Current boat is the "Soggy Dollar" named by the original owner after a bar on the island of Yost Van Dyke in the Caribean. My last boat was the "Time Machine" named by me as everytime I left the dock I lost track of time....

"Nothin to Plunder" The Buffett crowd knows where it came from.....

Names are hard... This is our third boat. First was an 86 198 BR, then a 98 230 BR. When we made it to the 340 DA, it was time for a name. I'm always wanting something more (or more of something)... And it's the third boat. And so Never Enough III (even though there was never a I or II).

Funny related story. When I had the sign shop do the name, they emailed the final design for approval. But they emailed it to the wrong address. The guy they sent it to by mistake replied, having them change the name from "Never Enough III" to "Never Enough Jeff's". Which they did. And did the installation. When I went down to the boat and saw it on the stern, I about crapped. The sign shop took care of it.

MT Pockets, as BOAT stands for; Break Out Another Thousand, the previously full pockets are now M T ....

Ive really enjoyed seeing all of these names and stories.
I'm trying to get Ideas for a name. Previous owner named her Coyote We couldn't see
the connection between a wild dog and a blue 215EC. I removed the name befor the sun etched it into the glass. My wife came up with the name Sea Voo Play.

Fun thread...

The lil' SeaRay is named the "Texas Belle" and lettered in the same font as the great company that provided her purchase. Thank-you Mr. Bell!

The Missouri boat is named the "MO Belle" for Missouri Belle.

(and/or translated to "More Belle")

Triumvirate: Representing me, my wife and daughter. Our three person family searched far and wide to find the right boat for us, and are very happy with our 260 DA.

A triumvirate (from Latin, "of three men") is a political regime dominated by three powerful individuals, each a triumvir (pl. triumviri). The arrangement can be formal or informal, and though the three are usually equal on paper, in reality this is rarely the case.

When we moved to Phoenix 15 years ago, we marveled at all the homes on the mountains and said, it would be nice but we'll never own one. After seeing the depreciation curve on new boats, we said we'd never buy new. And, after 5 years of costly fertility treatments, we were sure we'd never have kids. We were on the last IVF, and were giving up after...

After a lot of hard work, we acquired the house on the hill 6 years ago, we got a steal on our new '08 36DB last August, and our twins turned one two weeks ago.

Never Say Never

I am a big ZZ Top fan and I told my wife I'd like to name our new (to us) boat 'Tres Chicas' since I also have 2 daughters. I figured I was going to get 'the look' indicating that was the end of the discussion but she was surprisingly supportive. I am looking for a website that can do the boat name sticker in a similar font and color to that used on the Tres Hombres album.

im naming mine this year. "State Of Trance" me and the wife love trance music. For you oldies its a syle of dance electronic music

My boat's name is Melida. It is my daughter's name.

My wife told that Mel means honey in Greek language and Melida is derived form mel and means honey-sweety.

But my baptist interested in Sumerian and asked us since she hadn't been borned yet what will be her name, we answered and told about story of honey-sweet.

He answered Me-li-da are three different verbs and all combined means sended/gifted from sky/God which exactly suits our situation, because we had infertility treatment and she was a one of twin lost one and Melida was became really a gift from God.

Best regards.
(Father of)Melida

My boat's name is "Nacho Boat" and is a obvious play on words.

I picked this name because I was (at the time of the boat naming) a big Mexican Food eating fan, with Nacho's being my favorite food group. Everytime we went out to eat, I used to eat Nacho's, if they were on the menu.

Plus, it also a play on words, because Nacho Boat, is "not your boat"

After a life style change, I am looking to rename my boat. It is now known as "the Boat formerly known as Nacho Boat" - I haven't figured out how to get the unprouncable symbol printed and placed on the back of the boat.
