Whats your Boats name and what does it mean to you

'OHANA MOKU - means "Family Boat" in Hawaiian. My wife and her family grew up in Hawaii, alot of things they do today includes the culture they grew up with. Plus we thought it was unique.

I sold my last one due to kid’s sports interest 10 years ago. Last year my wife took me to our old stomping grounds in he Chain O Lakes for the 4th of July and it re kindled my passion for a boat but we wanted some thing we could live on for the weekends so we looked and decided what we wanted. I found the 268 in Michigan and I bought the boat with out my wife but I knew what she wanted, now that we have the boat I told her she could name it. She said since the kid is grown “IT’s ALL ABOUT THE FUN" now so that is the name she came up with.

Our boat name is "Little Wonders" after the Rob Thomas song Little Wonders. The Little Wonders of your life that make a difference, that you remember. Moments shared with friends and family.

We want to create of little wonders on our boat :smt001

I have a '09 240 Sundancer... named CORK. It reflects how it acts on the water :smt043

(practice, practice, practice!)

Our boat is Teacher's Pet III, my wife is a teacher (now a Tech. Specialist in the school system). We had two boats we never named and started with the 240DA.
Everyone one on the river just calls us "pet" on the radio.

My boat is Tom Foolery....

My name is Tom and the baot is all about having fun....:smt038

My boat's name, Matanji, means nothing to me. However, it meant quite a lot to the previous owner, who's two kids were named Matthew (Mat) and Angela (Anji), hence, Matanji.

Being the boating purist that I am, I don't need any bad luck following me around for changing the name. At first, I didn't know what to make of it, but after a season, I have become quite fond of the name, and appreciate the fact that it is quite unique.

"Mi-Cyn" is named after my son, Michael, and daughter, Cynthia. It is also a "SIN" to pay so much money to enjoy the boating life style!!!!:smt043

Named A-Lure-Ing

I wash lures on Lake Michigan about 2 times a week...

We named out 74 240 SD "OUR DREAM". It has always been our dream to own a big boat and we have own now. Now if I can just get it all fixed to enjoy OUR DREAN.

Our first boat was a 24' pontoon that was on Houghton Lake,Michigan. It was named the S.S. Brass nuts. A very good family friend named it.

Boat #2 was a 1977 Nisqually 2350 and we named her HOPE floats. I had a lot to learn about boating and she really helped me out. She was a great boat and we had a great time on it.

Now we have the 300DA and haven't named it yet.

My wife really likes "Seventh Heaven" cause there are seven of us.

My oldest son thought "All In" would be good. I say it a lot and when we make a decision, we are all in!

I thought "E Pluribus Unum" would be a good name

or maybe "De Facto"

Weve just launched wednsday and named our 300 weekender Sea Date.Because ive redone the cockpit, canvas and most of the interior, cleaned her up from stem to stern and now shes ready for her Sea Date. Also all that work sedated us.

Old Yeller, It was named that when I got her.....Probably because of its color(Yellow).

We named our 32 dancer "Treasured Times". Just bougt it havent taken it out yet. We enjoy every time we are in our boat. We were out with the kids and had a great time last year in our 268 When we were home after that week end I said that was treasured time with the kids. One is married living 3hrs away The other don't come to the lake much. We were happy to get all together

Fullhouse is the name of our 2000 310DA - 3 queens over 2 kings, translated my wife and 2 daughters over myself and my son.

Sua Sponte is latin and translates into "Of Their Own Accord" and is the motto of the 75th Airborne Ranger Regiment (think Blackhawk Down). I served in the unit in the eighties and wanted to pay tribute to those that had fallen.

The crest on the stern is the Distinctive Unit Insignia, or Regimental Crest of the 75th Rangers. It is on our uniforms on our shoulders and is unique to the unit.

When naming th boat, the wife let me do it, excpet she retained veto authority. One of the ideas I came up with was an image of Will Ferrell on the stern on a boat named More Cowbell.

That got vetoed....

Very cool--thank you and all who served for your service.

Just named ours " A o K " - The A is for our oldest daughter Addison, and the K is for our youngest Kennedy.

After spending a summer of weekends on a friends boat, we decide to take the plunge and purchase our own. So for our silver (25) wedding anniversay we purchased our first boat. Finding the right name was difficult, eventually, we decided on "Anni D'Argento", it translates to "Years Silver" in Italian.
