We hit 4.75 for diesel today, I may have to change my poll to the 10-20k choice

I'm thinking 5 bucks real soon.

I voted wrong. I voted in the 1-5,000 category but then I realized it was for the whole season. Silly me. I thought it was per fill up.

This is very good :smt043:smt043

Havent done the math, dont want to.

I want to boat and I will boat. Probably be in the 5-10k range. I would go higher, cause that means I am boating more. Time to go boating is a bigger restriction for me rather than cost this summer

I'll let you know in October.

Best regards,
Frank

Here's boating logic for you... My wife and I decide to run up to Roche Harbor on San Juan Island. She tells me she found a special off season deal on a combo hotel spa package there. Ok, I have to admit it was a good deal and we had a great time. So...we spend about 900.00 in fuel to "save" 50 bucks a night for three nights! LOL

The season just started here and we have already spent $2000.00 in the last 6 weeks. Do you think they make sail attachments for the 340?

Ouch. Must make a note to use the dinghy WHENEVER possible this year!

Years ago my dad used to drive to a little town about 25mi away to get a haircut. I asked him why he would go over there and he informed me that the haircut was 50 cents cheaper.

I just figured out what I spent last year well I guess I didn't spend but how much was spent putting gas in the boat, it's nice to have friends that have never been boating and will gladly fill up the boat for you if you take them.

I just burt off the remaining fuel from last year so next trip out we will need to fill up (end of may) I'm sure by then the gas prices will be $5 a gallon OY! Anyone wanna fill up for me :)

A timely poll. I topped off last weekend, 305 gallons of diesel at $3.69 for a total of over $1100.00. My wife and I decided to ride our Harley's this weekend. Put some 250 miles on yesterday and spent less than $50.00 for gas for both bikes. Hmmmm!!

Sure, but the probability is exceedingly small that your boat will turn you into something that resembles hamburger to the emergency room medics.

Ouch!

We'll take 4 trips this year. 2 of them will take a full tank, 1 will take a half, and 1 a 1/4, but that one will take 2 days of genny use. Other than that, we'll probably take 12 or 15 short trips and 30 days on the genny totalling another couple of tanks, so what's that, about 5 tanks times 225 = about 1,100 gallons. I voted 1 - 5,000, but, it could go over that a little.

At $4/gal I'm sure we'll be well over the 5k. I started planning this summers trips last summer. Not going to change the agenda. Our season is about 5 months. The boat occupies most of our time during this period. Spread the fuel cost out over the 5 months and it is resonably cheap fun. The expensive part is all the shopping my wife does at each place we go, but she tells me she is worth every penny.

Something is wrong here, I pulled into my new marina today and I was happy the gas at the dock was only $4.19. 30 cents cheaper than up on the Hudson.

I left late just so I could catch the slack tide and burn less fuel.

I also noticed that the barges were like convoy's going with the tide, I didn't notice that last year. but I didn't notice a lot of things last year so who knows.

Obviously, I need to find some new friends.

One of my wife's friends offered me $20 last year as we were filling up. I knew very well what his intention was, but I said, "Oh, you want to tip the attendant? Great."

I've been on the flip side though. I went with a friend to fill up his center console outboard boat. I offered to fill it up since we'd been using his boat. Who knew a center console could hold 590 gallons of gas? Jeez.
