We need a new poll. This one should make everyone poop in their drawers once they think about it.

How much money will you spend on fuel for your boat in 2008?

F load comes to mind. I'm already in your top tier and we're still early in 2nd quarter!

My little 160 a couple weekends a month won't burn that much; I may use more fuel towing it to the lake than actually boating!

I think I'll be in that 1-5 category. Our long trip into Canada will be at least the $1k and the rest will be on the remaining jaunts. It's hard to say with the weekly 5% increases and Canada's at $1.41 ltr already

Going to fuel up today. I know this is going to hurt. All my tanks are about empty. I have to assume its over $4 gallon here.

Thanks a lot kilroy, er I mean Gary. I was enjoying my morning thinking about the trips I wanted to enjoy this year and trying NOT to think about the costs.

My monthly budget for fuel is about $500 per month on a full year basis. Unfortunatly I only buy fuel between April and October!

Yeah well... I was putting the budget together for our New England trip and decided to I may need to put an AED (defibrillator) on the boat.

150 hours - (2007 was 157 hours)
18 Average speed in MPH (includes no wake zones)
1.37 Miles per gallon
2700 Miles
1971 Galllons
4 $/gallon
$7,883.21 Budgeted fuel spend for 2008

kilroy (delete and insert kiljoy) only had 1 coffee so far.

We'll be in the 1 - 5 range somewhere. As I have heated indoor storage at work I only left about 30 gals in the tank in the fall so I'm at $442.55 just for the initial fill up to splash. We waited so long to get a boat that I really don't worry about fuel at this point, if we want to go we go.

Ditto: No Political comment here. aka. RL.

I am on the same course as Jeff. We are trying to enjoy the boat with only modest attention to costs. You only go around once and might as well enjoy it while you still can get around.

I'm starting off with $2800 set aside for fuel to start off the season. I expect to spend at least double that, maybe more by the end of the season. At $4/gal, that is about 8 1/3 tankfuls. This should cover our normal weeknight / weekend usage for about 16 weeks.

I'm with Jeff. I don't really care. Whatever she drinks, she drinks. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff.

$4.49/gallon for my first fill up yesterday. Doh!

I voted wrong. I voted in the 1-5,000 category but then I realized it was for the whole season. Silly me. I thought it was per fill up.

This poll sucks:smt021:smt021 I don't want to know how much fuel I buy or how much boating costs me for that matter it takes all the fun out of it.

Is it for the age thing we spoke about early or for after we fill up?:smt100:lol:

Sure hope somebody makes a deal on the Island I've got listed. Just thinking about this hurts:wow::smt009

Ummm. Yeah. I'm with you. I'm was thinking about how nice it would be if $2800 would fill my tanks 8 1/3 times. It would be even cooler if I couldn't go through it in ONE day.
