I checked 1-5, but it may be a bit over that, next year will probably be at least in the 5-10 range, maybe even higher... :huh:

:thumbsup:

I checked 1-5 as well. I expected it to be closer to 5. Ended up spending about $1,300. The 496 is a bit more efficient than I expected at cruising speed. WOT is a whole other story, but fun:thumbsup:.

I need to add up receipts I guess, but I have a good guesstimate that we were around $1600 for the year. 84 hrs on the boat...does this sound about right? Most of it was wakeboarding. When cruising a lot was w.o.t.

150 hours - (2007 was 157 hours)
18 Average speed in MPH (includes no wake zones)
1.37 Miles per gallon
2700 Miles
1971 Galllons
4 $/gallon
$7,883.21 Budgeted fuel spend for 2008

I can not find my sheet from my first fill up of the season. It had my engine starting hours on it so I’m going to keep looking until I find it. So, not counting this original fuel fill, about $200 / 50 gallons……

For the Sea Ray Sundancer only, not the waverunner. We use the waverunner as our toy.

Estimated in spring => Actual 2008
1.37 miles per gallon => 1.39 MPG
2700 miles => put on 1,002.6 miles
1971 galllons = > used 718.9 gallons
4 $/gallon = high $4.25 low $3.65 average $4.10
$7,883.21 Budgeted fuel spend => actual $2,944.89

35 nights onboard, 18 away from the marina / via hook. We went out to eat less and used the magma grill often. We put just over 70 hours on the generator.

We put on a lot less miles this year. Our oldest child turned 12 this spring. After she took the boaters safety class (I re-took the class with her) we got a used 3 person wave runner. We spent a lot of time anchored in various shallow sand bottomed areas as we played in the wave runner.

I spent far less time this summer cleaning the boat. It was kept picked up but I waxed this spring plus a good detailing, including cleaning and treating the canvas, cleaning the bilge, etc. then only washes about every 2 weeks for the rest of the summer. As I left the boat late last night, ready for the marina to pull it today and put it into storage, the boat needs a good cleaning, waxing and detailing. I’ll do that over Easter week in spring.

Just did the math. 80 hours, $2722.29. A lot of those hours are on the Rideau Canal, max. mph: 6. Gas was quite high this year: 1.60 a litre, roughly 6.40 a gallon, canadian dollars... enjoyed every litre.
