What does everyone do for a living?

I'm a Union Electrician. Just hit my 30 year mark, worked construction for 23 of it and have been maintenance for the past seven at an old nuclear site.

It's amazing how people grow in size with their boats....

...from 18 ft all the way to 37.... so, in other words, he doubled the size of his boats in a number of years, meaning that I will go from 29 to 58 down the road [/COLOR]:smt038:smt038:smt038

That's exactly how it's supposed to work! Actually, I've got some time on a 160'er that redefined what I'd do with a winning lottery ticket. Yes, it needs a crew, but that'll free me up for other things.

I don't know what the market would be for your skills in Northern GA in the boating industry, but there are zero dot zero cabinet folks here in central VA who will touch boat millwork either to repair or upgrade. If I had my father's woodworking skills, that would be my retirement career.

Computer programmer by trade. Own an IT business that specializes in systems for courts around the US. Boat satisfies my desire to get hands dirty and fix stuff.

Firefighter/paramedic, department mechanic and equipment maintenance supervisor, County technical rescue technician, (I'm the guy you see on t.v. saving people from themselves), and contractor. I used to build cabinets and custom libraries/studies/kitchens for rich people.
Believe it or not, I went to college to be an architect because of family pressure but I hated every minute of it. I wanted to go to medical school but I was convinced otherwise.

Retired. Was in oil business but there is little work. So I volunteered to leave as the department needed to make cuts. I did not need to work any more but it was still fun. The younger people in the department had payments to make and families to feed. Me leaving seems to have saved everyone's job. If the world improves and I am needed I will return part time. But for now it has been a year as of April 30. Taking some getting used to. Admiral keeps reminding me she is not staff.
Now getting senior rates for restaurant food and bus pass.
