Sorry to hear that Joe. I saw on the news Bayshore was hit hard too. My boat survied unharmed in Patchogue. It looked like most others did OK out this way. Fire Island was hit hard too. This website has some pictures. www.fireisland.com
 
Good luck Marshall. Lil' Krissy and Kinship also appear to have floated off their cradles over in Brick. Waiting to hear back from Ron now.
 
There's nothing left to report from Jamestown, we are only waiting for the tide to go out now. We expect to be sitting in the mud tonight. After seeing and hearing reports from up north....my wishes all go to you.
 
The dark color canvas is Ron and the light color is Eric. Ron thinks they are sitting sideways in a slip across the two finger piers.

So does that mean your boat technically sank due to the open gimbal hole? Were you able to get in and see if it had gotten water in to it?

I was trying to decide. If the water rose relatively slowly (no more than an inch every couple minutes...) with an open gimbal...it very well could have never gotten enough buoyancy to float off Id think.
 
By sank I think he means that water entered the boat, not necessarily that it sank sank.

Ok I just spent 2 hours loading pics to photo bucket from my phone. Pics taken from land are at my marina in freeport long island. In one pic there are blocks on the grounds. Those had boats on them last night. 5Boats are missing from the marina and a whole bunch a couple blocks away ontop of cars on lawns in the street and so on. Inside the marina is a battle ground looks like somone filled the marina with water and played bumper boats as you can c. The big ship in one pic is grounded and the burnt building is tropix on nautical mile. Did anybody loose there boats homes cars anything? Hope not good luck with all your cleanups if anybody local needs help with anything anything at all just gimme a shout more than happy to help. http://s870.photobucket.com/albums/ab265/xplicitlnck/
