So let's hear about and see your cars.

This land yacht is the biggest reason I don't post as much here in this forum. I have been very busy fixing and upgrading this:

An acquaintance of mine restores mainly Cougars he's just finishing a body off restoration of a 69 Eliminator FE 428 Cobra Jet that's taken about 6 months for a client, it's going to Barrett Jackson in January as soon as it's in the catalog I'll post a link to it. If you need any hard to find parts he probably has them for a hefty price.

He's going to start work on my 69 Mustang when he gets back, not a complete restoration starting out with a new wire harness, reconnecting the factory air & heater core.

A little update here.
The 1970 Olds W-31 was pretty much all original and stock except for a Centerforce clutch and small cam upgrade, aftermarket intake and Holly carb, along with updated HEI ignition. had stock 3.91 12 bolt rear and M-21 close ratio 4 speed. here is a link to recent pics of the car. i sold it about 1991 and about 2 years ago received a call from the current owner (Stephano Bimbi, owner of Nickey Chicago). he contacted the original owner, who i bought it from, and him and his wife flew out to a show to see the car. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/590388#Post590388

1969 Chevelle. First engine was a stock LS5 454 with THM-400, 11 inch convertor and 4.10s. ran 12.95 at 102MPH. upgraded to another 454 with 13:1, Lunati .685, .692 lift, ~ 280* duration at .050 lift (4500-8500RPM) roller. THM-400 with 8" ATI convertor and 4.56 9-inch with spool and Moser axles. Best pass was 11.69 @ 116MPH but had issues from day 1 until it broke.

1957 Chevy. Had a blown 350 before i got it and a 4.10 rear. ran ~11.15 with previous owner who kept the blown engine. i built a 393 small block (de-stroked 406). 10.7:1 compression. Ross pistons. 6" Oliver rods, splayed main caps, summer bros. gear drive, full roller with stud girdles (can't remember cam specs but about .625 lift (can't remember duration but power range was about 3500-6500). AFR aluminum heads. dyno'd at 552HP on pump gas. THM 400 with 10" convertor. never took it to the track but confident in at least mid-11's.

Edit: Sorry for the spacing but I think it is because these were scanned photos. Should probably crop them

I sold my last one in 2003 but here is my list:
Years are approximate:
1989-1991
1970 Olds W-31. 4 sp. M21 3.91 12 bolt. 51,000 original miles

1991-1995
1969 Chevelle COPO replica. IHRA A stock national record holder in late 70's. I bought a body and frame. Had a 650HP 454 then sold it with a 500HP 327. Best pass was 11.69

1993-1994
1970 Monte Carlo. all stock but no pics

1994-1995
1988 Monte Carlo SS. no pics

1995-2003
1957 Chevy. mini tubs. 393 SBC dyno'd at 552HP on pump gas. sold in 2003 to a guy in Sweden.

Love this. One of my techs has something similar. US version 240 that he turned into a Silvia. Goes pretty good. Does about 340 wheel

A forum member I got to know had an s13. He was a proponent for E85 and I built my S15 motor to run on E85 but it never eventuated after getting into boats. Anyway his car was street registered and ran 8.5 sec times with a manual and H-pattern box - which I think was some sort of world record at the time. Here's a youtube link to the progress of the car which now has a sequentual box and spits out 948 wrhp.

I got my '57 Chevy off a friend who hung out with some fast guys. After I got the '57 he built a 1978 Malibu with a 509BBC. It ran high 8's with street tires and exhaust. His friend (Kenny Anderson) also had a 1978 Malibu with a 572BBC aluminum donovan block with an alcohol injected Mooneyham 14-71 blower. It ran I think high 6's or 7's on street tires and exhaust. Had another buddy that had a Ford EXP with a 509BBC that ran 9.21 on street tires and through the exhaust. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGILA65s6rg

Thanks guy, the GTR is amazing car for sure...

Nice. '69 XR-7 it looks like. Love them, especially at car shows flooded with Mustangs. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Mustang lover and former owner, but obviously there's a huge difference in production numbers. 351, 390 or 428?

It is an XR7 with a 390 4bbl ram injection and Posi. Unfortunately, she is taking a long nap like my boat.

My daily driver, 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 6.6 Duramax Diesel. 422,000 KM and counting

My wife's 2014 Lincoln MKZ. She loves the car. Its quick, comfortable and not terrible on fuel if you keep your foot out of it.

Current project, 1953 Chevrolet 3600 truck. Putting a 350/350 in it, aiming to drive it summer of 2017.

My winter toy: 2006 Yamaha Attak 1000cc 4 stroke

I picked up my new daily driver last month. So far I'm loving it. ATS Coupe

67 Chevelle I have been working on a few years - Hopefully driving this summer. 6.0 LS engine, LS2 intake, LS6 cam, Ported heads, Stainless exhaust from the header bolts to the tips. Made my own harness for the EFI - All new everything - In the home stretch.

Those were really good looking cars I think...my brother bought one in '66, burgundy with 396/360hp, hard to think that was 50 years ago, both the car and him are gone now

I had a stock white '67 396/325HP. Loved that car. If there is a little dimple near the rear "SS" emblem, you may have my old ride. If so, be kind. Lot of memories in that car. Thank god their fathers never found out or the 4 barrels would have been kicked in from Rhode Island to L.A.!!!!!! :smt043:grin::smt043
