Slip rental for 2011

That is just crazy cheap. A slip that size in our marina is at least $800 per month covered plus elec.

Shhhhhhhhh! Don't say that so loud, the management might hear you. These two pics were taken when I had my 330 and 19' Reinell in the slip together.

It's a new marina (I'm the first tenant in my slip) with 10'wide main concrete walkways, 8'wide concrete fingers, 30A 120V & 50A 240V power, dockbox, water & fully covered.

Including 13% sales tax, we pay $4,472.54 for our 35' slip which includes water & electricity + we pay an additional $2,853.93 for unheated inside winter storage for a total of $7,326.47 for the year. :smt021

Holy crap, my boat payment is half that (but it's on a lift in back yard). Even if I include my water, electric and property taxes I'm less than that. I will never, ever complain on this site about how expensive boating is after reading all of your posts.

$4500 including electric in Brick NJ
That's a great deal cause you have a pool..... and a "Family Atmosphere!!!! I on the other hand have a Bar and Liquor store right across the parking lot. The greatest "Couch Potato Sports" in the world is watching Drunks "Dock by the Touch and Feel Method"!! :smt038:smt038:smt038:smt038:smt038:smt038

That is a great looking set up firstclass! And a deal also.

My current slip is $2600/year plus electric. This is 14' x 34' covered with storage locker at the end of the slip finger. We keep them in all year round. This has a lower roof and keeps the boats much cleaner.

I was at another marina on the lake the last couple of years, a 16 x 40 covered was $5k/year. Very high roofs that allow rain and dust to blow in. Nicer marina but not worth it for us as once we are out on the water it is the same lake ;)

I boat at Lake of the Ozarks, My dock fee is $3,000 for a 12x32 covered slip. It includes electricty/cable/internet and water.

WOW some of you guys are getting screwed hard. :wow:

I guess living out in cow country has its perks. :smt001

About $5000 for 35', including water, power, cable, wireless, pool...and 6 free stays at other marina's...May-October...

$969 for the slip from April 15th to Oct 31st for a 30 foot slip. Secure dock, clean bathrooms with showers, and a very large parking lot. Hook-ups for electric and water at dock. Less then 10 minutes from the house. Winter Storage $287.00 with water and electric hook ups and a locked 12 foot fence and security patrol. Less then 5 minutes from house and the trailer stays in winter storage when boat is in the water. It is awesome.

I'm at a "Marine Max" facility so the Price Jump! I'm a 10 minute Float to the Manasquan Inlet and 5 to the PP Canal into Barnegat which isn't too bad! It's a little pricey but the staff is great and Mechanics Awesome.

Well I am in the same marina I have been for years, they are rebuilding my slip this winter and am looking forward to the changes as for what I will pay again this year it has doubledat least that is what they told me but I paid 0, nothing, not a cent last year so it is the same this year. Having a best friend that owns a marina and won't charge you anything is priceless but all he has to do is ask for my help and he has it, matter of fact some times I give him the help whether he wants it or not.

I have had work done by those guys before -> are they "good" these days? I had a bunch of work done there some time ago. . .and I would not quite use "awesome" as a word to describe their work.

They used to be Suburban Boat Works or something before MM took over. The Mech.Tech's that have worked on my boat have done a Superb Job!

Wow, you guys really need to invest in some waterfront property!

I'm seeing now that I'm glad I did, a couple years before I ever bought my first boat! Whew...

Why? In many areas here the slip fees I pay would not even cover the property taxes even with a "nothing" house on it.

Now if you are the original owner of a house you purchased 20 or so years ago it Might? be to your advantage.

Up here you Inherit "Waterfront Property" from the Guy's that stole it after the Stock Market Crash in the 20's. Unless you've got an extra 2 mil. for a empty lot!!

That's a nice area, I use to live on the Manasquan River in Brielle across from the little island.
