I enjoyed reading the post Questions for those who slip their boats but wondered about costs in the different areas.
So here is a new Thread to add Location / Cost.

I'll start.
Where: Milwaukee WI- McKinley Marina
Seasonal Slip Rental: ( 2013 Rate ) 45' slip $ 3,947.00
Rental period: May 1st - Oct. 31st.
Type of Docks: Floating Piers

Waiting lists for over 30'... so it's a monopoly here. It's around $12 per foot per month (open moorage) if you pay a year in advance. The boathouse is more... for the 40' is $8k annually. The rates go up substantially for 50' and up. Fuel discounts are out there but they're small.

Small Boat Harbor. Prince George, VA. 10 minutes from home.

$150 per month. Water included. Electric metered. Floating docks. Clubhouse/pool included.

Downside is 3/4 hour to the mouth of the James River. Upside to the downside is the place is so protected, the last hurricane was merely a strong breeze. If the docks ever rise off the pilings, my house is under 8 feet of water!

Bay moorings in Penetanguishene on. 35' floating dock with power and water. Free pump outs. Includes winter haul blocking and outside storage. Full use of amenities. 3750+ tax.

We're moving to a private condo run marina next year. New 35' slip power water and bathrooms. No fuel or pump but a full service marina is 500 feet away. $1700. Substantial savings.

I looked into getting moorage in Comox last summer for my 26 foot boat. Waiting list was over 1000 people, turnover that year was 6. You do the math, doesn't look like I'd be there anytime soon.
