In Savannah, GA I am paying $150/ft for the year with $30 per month for power. Free water and WIFI. No pump out. However I am slipped at a Hall Marine facility and it sure is nice having my local SeaRay dealer on site to help out without paying someone to travel to my boat. For me, it's well worth the price.

Mark,
Yeh, rub that parking thing in eh. I'd have been moored there years ago but Karen HATES that bridge. Also, didn't know our pump out is an "off again-on again" thing. I would rather pay an' get 'er dun rather than take my chances. Have a healthy winter you guys. See ya in the spring,

Chris

Chickamauga Marina at Lake Chickamauga on the TN River (Chattanooga). 16X45 covered floating slip, $470 per month, one month free if paid annually in advance. Free water, free internet, free pumpout, 10% fuel discount. We pay for power and cable.

I might have one of the more high cost slips.

City of Long Beach municipally owned marinas, some of the lowest cost slips in Southern CA.

35' slip, year round, $512 per month, oh and $100 per year you pay in property taxes on the water !!! (or maybe its the ground underneath it, IDK) to the State of CA.

Annual cost about $6300 for a 35' slip, but includes unlimited power, water, 2 parking passes, shore side bathrooms, excellent access to downtown amenities and free parking for such, plus free pumpout.

Note: if I wanted to slip my boat somewhere nice, such as Newport Harbor, the slip would be at least another $300 a month.

Thanks Chris...

The bridge is no big deal by the way. I drive over it everyday to and from work.

And yes...we love the parking!

I think I am worse shape than anyone except the guys down under.

Probably should add mine 'down under' is good value for here.

I looked in the next bay up, they wanted $1100 per month, marina I think is about 2-300 slips, with 7 car spaces, and the local dive clubs and fishing charters run out of it.

Sydney harbour is upwards of $2-2.5K per month.

I paid $450 a month for the pleasure of rowing out to a swing mooring whilst I waited for a pen to become available.

Oh and Covered berths? I took a photo of one when we were in Vegas flying out to the Grand Canyon, because I had never seen one before. I am happy to be corrected, but I do not think we have one anywhere in Australia

Yeah, but I hear the upfront costs are a killer.

The have just finished building some undercover berths in Fremantle, they are available when you purchase your new 80ft Sunseeker........... The undercover area was built by the Australian Sunseeker distributor to assist with local sales and, as best I can tell, it is working because Princess Yachts are building something similar about 100 meters from Sunseeker.

$6350. 60x20 covered. Cable, wifi. Metered electric. Green Turtle Bay Marina & Resort is a well known stop for loopers and snow birds heading south from great lakes. Condos, spa, very good boatyard, many amenities. And, in western KENTUCKY believe it or not...

Paid $600/month while at Treasure Island Marina, Panama City, FL this past winter. Wasn't covered though...told them I was Frank Websters nephew and they still wouldn't put me under cover. Did get my own palm tree though.

That's really not quite accurate, right? I mean, you did have to buy the slip. To be fair, and meaningful, you should take the price you paid, and divide it by the number of years that you expect to benefit from it, and then report back...I suppose we can allow what you intend to sell it for when the day comes as a refund.

Seriously, though, it would be nice info to know, for those of us who often wonder if it would be better to buy a slip (albeit with maintenance fees around here) versus seasonal rental.

Presumably there are some kind of taxes as well, in CA they would tax you on the water and the slip would be considered property for purposes of taxes, so you would pay a tax. I don't know the WA rules on this.
