Seasonal Slip Costs in Your Marina?

Catawba Island Club - Port Clinton, OH
http://www.cicclub.com
Seasonal Floating Dock (45'): $5,500 (April 1 - Nov 1)
Electricity: $250/year
Weekly Pump-Out done right at my slip: $14/pump-out
Cable and WiFi are free of charge, but when you are paying $5,500 a season, I hardly call anything "free!"
Monthly Membership Dues: $250, plus anything else you buy (cash-less system)

We pay a lot and are probably among the "poorer" folks at our club, but we absolutely love the place and what it offers our family. Every year, we struggle with the decision of staying members because of all the money we spend on food, drinks, and activities, but each year we pony-up. If God takes me tomorrow, at least I'll know we had a great time boating with the family!

CIC is a great place with very nice facilities and marina.
My boat was there when I bought it almost 2 years ago now.

No kidding... I see you are in Houston now. Do you recall the name of the boat when you bought it? Ironically, I've been in my new slip here for two seasons (though I have been docked at CIC for 10 seasons) and the boat that vacated was a 460DA. I imagine that is more than coincidence!

I think that it was SteelnAway or something close to that

CIC is a great location. I was a member of the the dock crew back in my college days (many years ago). Had a blast working there! Say hello to Jimmy S. for me when you see him.

cable, electricity not included - internet is free if you can reach the wifi. No winter haul-out as it doesn't freeze. We had a 40' and all were covered slips. Our dock had an 8' wide walkway which was very nice.

After reading through all this.....I'm never going to complain about my club (again).
I worked it out to keep my 40ft boat.
Yearly cost of $348/month if I winter in-water or $432/month if I haul out for winter.

Its true, you do get what you pay for......and my place is a "working mans club"......

Regardless of costs, its worth it!!!!

Mark.

it's time to break some hearts
We kept ours at little teds in marblehead, its on the eastern part of east harbor
the bathrooms are not that great, but i can run an extension cord for power, but there is a very nice pool and tiki bar. the docks are mostly for the rental cottages so they can bring their boats. there are a few of us with seasonal dockage though.
$600 for the season
next year we are hopefully renting a dock in port clinton from and older couple with a cottage that just cant take their boat out anymore. they want a younger presence at the marina to keep the riffraff out this place has a party center nice bathrooms water and electric, no cable (i go out the to get away from civilization) and no pool, and a nice little deck infront of the dock
the man wanted $600

Blackjack Cove on Old Hickory lake

Newport, RI......May 15 - Nov 15. $190/foot for the season. Additional $1050.00 for 50 amp.

Up to 45' = $3,800 April to mid-October. Includes electric & H2O.

$2,000 for 30x12 well
Metro Detroit - Lake St Clair
April 15th - Oct 31st
Drive-up parking, Floating docks, nice pool & decent clubhouse.
Water & 30A/50A service (something like first 50 kW free, after that is normal electric rate)

Kinda bummed because they are "condo wells", and someone purchased it this past fall, and we were considering buying it. So, maybe wont have such a nice view as last season. :/
