Both windows scoll as you get to the bottom to allow you to continue to type your post, at least they do for me.
 
One other thing to watch for- even when you are actively replying to a post, the big orange "Reply to Thread" button still exists on the bottom and if you happen to hit that instead of the White/gray "Post Reply" button, everything you typed will be erased and to have to start over. It has happened to me several times already but I am paying more attention now. Not even sure why that shows as an option when you have already chosen to reply but I think it is a fixed part of this version because I have seen it on other forums with this version. That big orange reply button just makes me want to click it, darn it!
 
I just noticed that when you click on the new posts, new posts-24 hours, new posts-48 hours you lose the 24 and 48 hour links from the blue bar, you have to click the forum button to get them back, is it supposed to be this way or is it fixable. I posted my post and went to the top and they are there at this time.

Yes I see it but, it's difficult also when replying with quote. My writings and qutoed lines can be mixed if I move the mouse accidently and cursor goes unwanted line.

In the advanced search function, when you put in a user's name and a keyword as the search criteria, it only finds threads that were 'started' by the user name you input. It used to find all posts by the user name in the search criteria.
 
Does anyone know where the "Statistics" option went?

All of my info was wiped clean
 
I went into 'settings' and then 'edit signature' and sure enough....there were two pics in my signature. I cut one of them out. I'll wait to see if it re-apperars again later......
 
I'm still getting goggle ads at the top and sponsors ads on the right of screen. Any body (silver or up) else still getting these????
 
After the new system was first implemented, I started to get advertising on the top, bottom and r.h. side. Then I was able to minimize the r.h. side advertising only. The advantage of "Club Level" members not being subjected to all of this annoying advertising has been taken away from us and there has been no communication to the membership, one way or another, that this will be remedied. We were asked for input about any issues affecting the change over and there were a lot of legitimate reports submitted. It seems that not all issues affected everyone in the same manner. Everything worked well for me except for those annoying advertising banners. I am usually a pretty patient guy, but the non-communication to the membership about this particular advertising issue has left me scratching my head. Now I am back to getting advertising on the top, bottom and r.h. side again, but I now have a valid reason for this as I have not renewed my Platinum sponsorship. If things ever get back to normal around here, I will gladly participate in the sponsorship program again.

The simple cure for that if you are using FF get the Adblock Plus extension.

I don't know if IE has the same thing as FF. :huh:

Well, not to throw a new wrinkle into the fire but I was using my wife's laptop yesterday, which has IE 8, and this forum doesn't display properly. The yellow bar that I see on my laptop with Firefox that shows the date and time on the left and the post number on the right is a white bar on hers with nothing in it.

How do I find out what ver. of IE that I am running? It s/b the latest as I am always downloading upgrades.

I do not have FF

I have rec'd 3 notifications about my inbox already. I will have to do something about that today.

Click on the help tab on your browser and then click on about IE.

That will tell you what you have. :smt001
 
My only gripe about this site . . . not being able to direct link to current or recent posts. At least I can't seem to. When I set up a favorite for posts for the last 48 hours it comes back a failed search next time I try it. I then have to navigate to the forums. Any suggestion?
