how do I advance to the next post? do i have to go to the top and scroll down and select it? Previously there were buttons that would advance or go back 1 post. I hope i'm missing something...

You have to enable cookies in your browser, IE, Firefox, chrome or whatever you are using.

I just tried it and it works now.

Is there an answer?...sorry if I missed it. One of my computers is showing it in an orange bar across the top of each post, and this computer is not. Is there a setting I have to change?

It seems to me that it has already been addressed. What browser/version are you using. I think they had to upgrade to the latest version to get it to work.

I realize that the link structure is broken in the search engine results, however measures have been put in place for those search engines to have the new links updated. Additionally, until the link structure is updated, broken links will always result in the visitor still getting to the site and not resulting in page not found errors. The site beforehand did not utilize SEO friendly URL's, and now it does, so while there is the downside to the link structure being a little messed up now, in the long run the new structure will allow for better rankings with the search engines.

As for the internal links (Links posted in threads / posts to other threads / posts of the site), the reality is the server at this time won't handle the request (doesn't have enough memory), to allow for a query to be run to change all those entries. I am going to discuss this with Jim and Gary (The server administrator) to see if there is a solution, but I am fully aware of this.

Tapatalk is working. Perhaps yesterday Tapatalk themselves were having isues. I know that for Droid, there was a recent update released (Both for the Android platform and for the Tapatalk app itself). If you have a Tapatalk app update available, make sure it's up to date.

Thanks for heads up, Mark.

I'm sure you guys will explore number of options, but the first thing that comes to mind as a workaround to run the query is to find some kind of field which could be used to group the data in order to run the update in patches, instead of a single run. The other solution (might be even quicker one) is to write a small loop to do the update and commit every 1000 records (or whatever number you think works best) to clear the buffer . IMO, if running the update is all we need, then lack of memory is a small problem.

Mark, thanks for all the help. I don't believe tapatalk is working properly yet. I am getting an error every time I try to access CSR. I don't think it is an issue with my particular device or install because I am able to connect to other vBulliten fourms fine with the same install of Tapatalk. I never had an issue with CSR on this version until sometime yesterday, I believe, when these issues started.

Anyone else with Tapatalk still having issues?

Or...the quick and easy way for now, which requires no server resources, is to map a redirect onto the web server for that URL root involved. 2 minutes of web config and done.!
 
I have taken the easy route and added a htaccess file to reroute the /forum/ urls to root. All old links should now resolve to the proper new location. Thanks.
 
Still working great for me. Not sure what could be causing your tapatalk issues.
