islandhopper00 said:Thanks Sadler, I opted for the 240 for just that reason. I love to trailer boat. It's a sacrafice for the smaller boat but the trade off is mobility. The lakes I frequent here around Charlotte are Dam challenged  (pun intended) Lake Norman is a beautiful lake however it can get rather conjested in the summer. Lake Wylie is beautiful but there is really only one restruant to visit. Lake Murray is wonderful, and they have fish in their lake. Not to mention the joy of trailering down to my old stomping grounds of north Florida and the St. Johns river. Plus every year I trailer down to West Palm Bch. drop the boat in at Lake Worth inlet, anchor off Peanut island then in the wee morning hours clear the jetties on my way to the beautiful Abacos via Grand Bahamas. Yes I'll make the trade comfort for mobility. I'm struggling on the trade to a 260 though. It is alot more boat to handle by ones self. However the 260 comes better equiped for serious cruising, ex. anchor roller and windless. Installed generator, and just sheer wetted water line. I'll try the 240 for now and if I can make it to the islands with confidance I'll stick with it. I'll see this summer. Thanks Mike

I can remember when my 26ft w/a was considered a big boat on Wylie. Not counting all the dock locked boats around the lake. I can't imagine owning some of these boats and leaving them to rot at the dock. I've noticed boats that haven't moved from their moor in the last 6 years that I've lived in the area. :smt017
islandhopper00 said:If your marina will allow tag alongs put me down for that trip. Work schedule allowing. Sounds like a good run one I've wanted to do. Would you run the intercoastal or outside? I'm going to use my boat as much as I can this year. My Island run is 28 june to 10 or 11 July.
