New Swim Platform

Just got off the phone with Art at Swimplatforms.com. It will ship in 2 days and be here in two weeks in physced now!!!!
here is a pic they sent me of a 36DB platform they where finishing up. It will give us 42" more I think the fit is really nice.

Joe, the pix look great. I think it'll add good value to the boat considering the fact that it's just a platform without a lift, which would add more weight. I'm sure you and Martha will love the new enhancement.

Anybody have a pic with an extended platform on a 330ec even a 370 or a 400 would b pretty much the same? Hey joe best of luck I want to help or watch u install because I will b doing it over the next couple years lol

Havana......what happened?

You said this:

It's going to take 2-3 months

And then this:

It will ship in 2 days and be here in two weeks

Those pics of the fit look great. When I saw my buddy's for the first time last year I would have sworn it was a factory platform that originally came with the boat.

Good luck...hope it all goes well for you. Art will make sure it does.

I think if your boat says 360 you can easily get away with 36'. Most marinas in our area are not so strict, especially during the flotilla. The only time I would be concerned is with marinas that have limited room. Id say that for the most part after docking in LLM, the rest are walk in the park....LOL

I never volunteer the overall lenghth. The side of mine says "240" so I always let them charge for a 24'. The specs from SeaRay for mine say 24'10" overall. If I added the extended platform in, I'd be over 27'....

Like any lawyer would advise you before getting on the stand, don't offer more than you are asked, keep it simple and succinct: "Yes," "No, " "I don't recall," or "I take the 5th"

Yeah they called and said there is one ready I think they lost it in the back , it's not a popular model.
I'm glad either way.

From the time you placed the order how long did it take them to ship it? They claim 2 weeks but just curious how realistic that is

The 36DB did become the 39DB in I believe 2009 because of the extended platform. A call to Sea Ray directed me to swimplatforms.com . As far as shipping they stated the platform will be ready to ship in two days or so to get all the hardware together and build a crate. I'm not sure how long it will take to get from Az-NY . But with more snow coming in here I'm not looking to install till we get to a steady 50* around here.

Well that's great news....good for you. Hope there aren't any hiccups with it and all goes well for you this first time around.

I'm not sure how long it will take to get from Az-NY

My first one took a bit over a week to get from them to Toronto up here in Canada.....it made a number of stops along the way. The second one took less than a week. I'd certainly expect yours to get to you in less than a week from the day it's shipped.

Aside from the glitches we ran into with my order.....if I had to pick one negative thing......it would be with whoever builds the crates. It's a big flat crate and the content is pretty darn heavy. Both of my crates were coming apart when I received them.
Don't know how long those crates would have lasted if they had to go any farther or get handled any more.

But the boys at SP Inc wrap the platform in a heavy rug to protect it.....so both arrived here without a mark on them.

Exciting times ahead for you.

If anyone receives Power and Motoryacht Magazine, there is an article in this month's issue about replacing swim platforms. I have not read it yet, but thought it would be appropriate for these postings.

I get PMY. The article gives a big thumbs up to Swimplatforms.com.

Just to chime in, I ordered mine last week. I can't wait to get it! I cannot help but believe it will make a huge difference on a boat my size (240DA).

Although a big purchase, this seems to be a very popular upgrade this year, post some before and after pics. Ps. Are you guys doing the install? Or having it done?

doing my own with buddies at my marina.....IF....Mother Nature ever smartens up and allows me too. Hoping to be able to get at it early next month.

havana.....I presume you've been tracking yours.....is it getting close?

I'll be installing my own, with the help of my stepson. Thanks for the posts on the install setups; clever idea to use the crate to make the install table.
