Lake Michigan Gathering

It is great that so many are hoping to make it to ER. Since I have not yet been to the marina, I will look to those that have to help me determine where to tie up.

I hope the ice is out by then. Brrrr! :smt001

Dan,
Depending where your marina is... we can meet up for the crossing...
I'll be needing a 45' slip (dinghy on davits  )

Octopus
I 'was' a slip holder in Hammond for past 9 years
Burnham since 1978
Heading to Marina Shores in Portage for 2007
Depending on your track out of Chicago, it would be great to tandem up.
Don't know if I will have dinghy on back, but will still need a 40 foot slip.
Dan

Wonderful Life - and others, I think I have a map of the marina. I'll dig it out and make a pdf file of it and post it if anyone wants.

Getting warmer here, 10 degrees - ahhhhhhh

sETTLE DOWN

Hey, Settle down Gentlemen, we will get something going soon, and I'm sure you all have the same bug I do, but the ice is still on the water, I will be emailing Cheryl soon to update her on how many boats and how big they are....

Do we want to have a cookout day, or EAT AT PEARLS day, or both maybe. We should start discussing the minor details soon oh and involving the most important people...Our Wives....
I don't think anyone will disagree..

I just got done raking the roof for the second time in a week. Sure could use a break from the frigid air. But the snow cover is what is needed to bring up the water level in Lake Michigan.

I would be up for a cook out for sure.

Boltman, it would be great to get as many of the boats together as we can but it usually is impossible due to the different sizes. I am sure they will do the best they can.

Salty Dog, thanks for making the effort to find a map.

Legacy, it is great you are making the long trip to ER. I have a close friend in Mount Clemens who just bought a '46 DA and I will try to get them to come also.

People this is from The Harbor Mistress of Elk Rapids

This is the information she is going to need for Regisrtations, I will add this again to the post as May gets closer....let's all fill her Marina up on July 20th aye?

The magic day to begin making reservations is May 15th. The number to call is 231-264-8174. We open at 8am. The information we need is the following:
Name
Address
Phone: cell, home
e-mail
Boat registration
Boat length
Boat name
Credit card # and expiration
We'll see you in the spring.
Cheryl

Elk Rapids Cookout

I'm thinking we should have a nice cookout there at ther Marina, they offer several grills at their pavillion area in the marina. Ther could be a plethera of meats and even Fish.....I love to Grill myself and I'd like to keep it simple as possible, what about the rest of you.......Let me hear what you have to say and what you'd like to cook.......Please any new ideas are excepted...

Thanks, we have entered into the Palm pilot the 15th call date.
As far as our CSR "Docktail Party and Dinner" I like your idea of a cook-out. How about everyone bring their own meat to cook and a dish to pass. Time to get the Costco Meat Balls going....When they finish up the CSR logo maybe I can get the file from the admin. and have a banner made up for the pavillion area if you like.

I guess no one likes the Costco Meatballs? they tasted good when the nice older lady gave me the free sample.

No not really inviting

I'm not sure they sound good right now, maybe in the summer, but ahh I was just thinking about hamburgers and hotdog, or maybe even some steak......What do you think?

Nothing like Hamburgers & Hotdogs on a grill around a bunch of shiny SRay's. We are off to the boat with polishers in hand- Wheel out day(for the next couple of days). Won't be long now-BOATING AGAIN.

It's getting warmer

Well My first question is, where is eveybody? I haven't seen anyone on from Michgan online lately, and i also threw out a role call on some trailer boat people and it never even had 1 hit. I don't understand that one at all.
Well i have ambiacne back now from storage, not going to fire her up yet, cause i just watched the weather and noticed 21 degree weather still in the night hours for Michigan. wha'ts the deal?
So hey guys and gals are you still with me, did everyone make it throught this Wacky weather.????????

Hey Boltman, I just got back in town. Still planning to me up in Elk Rapids. I have a month to get her ready for launch. I think many are on Spring Break and dealing with spring chores.
