Registered on-line and also spoke with Cheryl. She seemed surprised that we were coming. We are looking forward to a great time.

Salty Dog, I didn't know about the Aquapolooza event but I will look into it. Sounds like another good time!

surprised,...

yes cheryl thought it might only be about 2 boats or so.. I told her it might be as many as 15 or so, wasn't sure, and she was still surprised at that. Gervie glad your in for the reservation, we'll have a great time.

Hey Boltman-

Any idea on the count yet? I called Cheryl today and she didn't really know what I was talking about as far as a Sea Ray gathering. I'm planning on making the reservations online in the next few days if this is still a "go". July 20-22, right??

Count So far...

The Seay Ray gathering seems to be small, that's why she's not too familar with our Gathering...

So far the count seems to be about 4 boats, maybe 5... so it just may turn out to be a quiet quaint gathering..

I still have to get with Cheryl to see if I can reserve the grill/pavillion area for Saturday night get together if everyone want's to do that, it will be a bring you own food to cook, as this is what people wanted and we can have a meet and greet at the pavillion and a great dinner.

Please let me know what people would like to do and I can make that happen.

I'll be standing by waiting for a role call also!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND YES IT IS STILL A GO, SOME HAVE RETAINED RESERVATIONS ALREADY.............. COME ON GIVE ME A ROLE CALL SO WHE KNOW WHO'S GOING TO BE THERE FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!

You know we are in. BTW, we are in Door County, WI today. The weather is gorgous. Posting from the boat docked in Fish Creek.

We will have a great time, small or big group.

Good Gervie

Yes I know your in Gervie, and we will have a wonderful time, be it big or small. I don't care if there's only two or three boats, If I have made another friend along the way, then life just gets better , doesn't it?

Our plan is to be there.

We just got back from Pentwater and ran into Wonderful Life in Frankfort, had a nice visit and talked about the Elk Rapids trip.

I'm headed for Pentwater the week after next. Did you stay at Snug Harbor? Were there any issues or problems getting in or out? Thanks.

bliss,

No problems in or out. When I called they said to hug the north side of the channel on the way in so we did as much as we could, very little traffic when we came in Friday morning. Yes we did stay at Snug Harbor. This was our first time to Pentwater, nice town and we had a good time. We were on the south end of the west wall, good spot to see the “actionâ€.

Interesting, it does get pretty wind on Pentwater Lake, when we came in the big lake was flat and there was quite a chop on the inland. Same thing when we left to go back on Sunday. Windy and a chop on Pentwater and the big lake was flat. Actually almost to flat for the ride back.

Have a safe trip!

Great in traveling

We went to Pentwater on Father's day weekend from Ludington, Didn't stay there though. We like Ludington, very centraly located and the water was great, though the weather did not do well it was 65* in Ludington that weekend. Well at least we had a good time on the boat and the Admiral got to drive it to Pentwater too. She's a good woman.

Sorry - been out of the loop here a bit - where / when is this gathering planned for - would love to join and meet up!

Preferably somewhere where the women are plentiful and single :) (the advantage of being single!!!)

RE: Ludington; There is a jittney service in town that costs $2.00 or so. They will take you anywhere in town. Very nice.Example: Walgreen's is a few miles east. Call and they pick you up at the marina in 15 to 30 minutes. When you're done shopping the cashier at the store calls them for you and away you go.
They don't run very late so they don't make a good designated driver. This is from memory- about three years ago.

Miss T is all set for Elk Rapids. Made the reservation today. Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Safe travels to everyone...

Hey Paul-

We had a great curise to the Straits. The island was a bit busy on the fourth, but not too bad. Knowing the island and the places fudgies stay away from helps! We hit Charlevoix, St. Ignace, Mac Island and Mac City. Coast Gaurd presence was very noticeable. Many boats stopped/boarded, patrolling of marinas by water and foot, etc.

Looking forward to getting acquanited in Elk Rapids with everyone. Friends from TC are planning to cruise along with us. They have a Carver, but I'm sure they'll get the Sea Ray royal treatment!

Jeff

Hope all have a great time in Elk Rapids, my wife and I wish we would be up there joining you guys but our Dealers Aquapalooza is this week-end and we had commited to going to that with a lot of other SR's (like 200 or them). With fuel prices this year we are not going to make it to Lake MI. Have a great time-enjoy!

Post some pics of the party! We will be a couple days behind you all and wish you safe passage! Any one headed across to Door County afterword? We will be in Fish Creek 24-25-26-?.

Mike

Elk Rapids gathering

The Elk Rapids was a great party of freinds, Not large, just quaint and enjoyable.
Salty Dog, Wonderful Life, and TC are a great bunch of people to talk with and boat with.
I will post a few pics when I can, right now it's back to work like everyone else..

Yes, the Elk Rapids gathering was very nice. Thanks, Robert, for getting it put together. We really enjoyed getting to meet everyone and look forward seeing you all on the water again!
