How many days before your boating seasons

was supposed to have the new boat delivered next week, but that's a no go because the lake is up waaay too much. They can't get to the ramp to launch, because they can't find the ramp. Bummer, bummer, bummer.......

Maybe in a couple of weeks, we are hoping the lake goes down enough by then and some of the debris is cleared, or sinks or whatever.

If we could just siphon some of this water to the southeast all would be great. Does anyone have a really long water hose?

Are you still going to do your sea trial next week?

I talked to our marina this week, and they said, unless we get any more huge rains, we should be able to get on the docks next weekend. They said the water should be out of the parking lots around a level of 920.

I just realized you live near Homer Simpson:thumbsup:

How many days??? Hopefully very soon. I am ready.... I am thinking we will start hauling the boat to the lake in mid to late April.

yipppy. no risers and manifolds needed this year. That means hire someone to do the bottom paint. Which means I drop in sooner. weeeeee. Maybe two-three weeks.

So near and yet so far.
We were scheduled to splash yesterday, but too much wind. So, they tried for this afternoon as the forecast was for slightly lighter wind, but now they do not have enough water in the narrows as all the dang wind from the NW blew it out. Mine is now in the slings, which I guess is a better spot considering some are in the mud from the low lower tide.

Paint went on today, putting her over on Friday...Have to get her to Dealer for some waranty work. (Cabin door and genny issues.)

Should have back in the home slip the following Saterday!!

may 2. lotsa work to do (wax, paint, replace some busted blower vents) and so many STUPID parties to attend that kill perfectly good weekend days that could otherwise be spent getting her ship-shape. not to mention the still cold-ish lousey weather around here. pulled the cover last weekend and was going to wash the hull but the dopey marina didnt have the water turned on yet! :smt013:smt013:smt013:smt013:smt013:smt013:smt013:smt013:smt013

Wanted to splash on Saturday, but 52 and rain and wind may put that off...grrrr.

A couple more 60/50 degree days like we've had this week, and we'll be getting rid of that hard-top...

Almost there...

Come on Chad;

There is no boating season in Ft. Lauderdale?

You guys in South Florida don't even get much of a chill. :)

We are planning a trip to Fernandina in three weeks for the Schrimp Boat Festival. It will be the very first trip out since we bought the "April-May" in February.

I love South Florida. Hope to be able to cruise down that way this summer!

Oh man..........thats ugly.:wow:

You'll want to wear your warm furry slippers if you go out. The ice is out over near Burlington, but
(from NOAA)...
THE LAKE CHAMPLAIN LAKE LEVEL AT THE KING STREET FERRY DOCK IN BURLINGTON
WAS 98.32 FEET...AND THE WATER TEMPERATURE WAS 34 DEGREES.

Just got her back from her long winter rest...... Probably still 3 weeks out.

For those of you (like me) who can't do boating all year, how many days before your boating season ?

This is the front of my home as of yesterday. It looks like I still have a long way to go before boating, probably 50-55 days, but once I start I will enjoy every day of it.

Sell the house! Move south as fast as possible!

Probably 4 more weeks on the CT river. Those warm days, (above 45 degrees) in VT and NH are causing the snow to melt and the river to swell. Can't wait, getting the itch to burn some fuel...

Hope the ice is all gone by the end of April and get the boat in the water by mid May. If anyone in the Southern State have seen Al Gore(the one that invented the internet) please send him to the Lake Huron region because we have nothing but below average reading since early January.
