CSR Rendezvous 2009 – Atlantic City NJ

One Sweet Day (Dom and Linda), Gale Winds ( Bob [aka Boby Bacals] and Lynn) and Titan (Rich and Roe) just got back home. We stayed an extra day. We had the docks to ourselves except for a few Silvertons that found their way in. Went to dinner and made a small deposit in the Casinos.

On Sunday late afternoon, another Sea Ray, not with CSR, a 1995 270, lost a water hose and got towed into the T head. I jumped on and removed the hose for him. We weren't able to find any parts places open, so I went into my bag of goodies and got out my handy dandy role of stop leak elastic tape. Put a few winds of duck tape over that tape, and we let him follow us home and we made sure he got home in one piece....gotta love that elastic tape!!!

Again...Fantastic weekend!!!! Next time someone has to bring some 'F'in ziti' for Stan....

She was having a little bit of a problem keeping the boat on plane at such a slow speed. We would be up, down, up, down. Finally Vince Jumps on the radio and tells my GF that she sucks at driving and if we could please get her off the wheel as she was causing a traffic jam behind us.

:smt043:smt043:smt043

That is not what happened!

From what I could see she was trying to drive and you were doing some sort of naked dance which distracted her.

speaking of naked, on the way home out in the ocean, we cruise kind of close to some fishing boats and BAM... there is a guy butt naked with nothing but a fishing pole out in the ocean alone on his boat. Explain that to your family when the coast guard pics you up dog paddling out in the ocean when you fall over board.

Few more pictures that the others didn't get.

Kerri had a little problem with her fishing pole. She lost one behind the boat. Vince decided to do a little fishing for a fishing pole.

Darned if he didn't catch one. Pink, too. Well, at least this time it really was "That big."

Now here I'm not really sure what's going on. I think, but don't quote me on this, that Jon is regaling Elizabeth and Alison with his version of the "He Man Song." I think Rod has his doubts.

My wife said, "Hey look at that! They have that guy in handcuffs." "Cool! Did you get a picture?" "Why would I want a picture of that." By that time the state cop had the guys off the boat and nearly inside. Best I could do with that stupid dinky little lens on the Nikon 7900. Where's Rick with that huge lens he was walking around with all day?

I think I was telling the ladies about the guy in the 24' ish fishing boat that tied into the slip across from us on Sat night. This guy wakes up Sunday morning walks out onto the dock sees the line up of Sundancers across from him and says to me "whats going on here, did you guys all buy the same boat or something?"

That's racist! "All you Sundancers look alike."

Ron, Don, Franks, and all....

We had a great time.. :smt038Thanks to all that did the planning.. We still have over 300 clams left if anyone wants to stop bye our home on Saturday... Our camera broke on Friday morning when we left for the AC, so we did not get any pics :smt021... Thanks to all who posted... We stopped at Tice's on the way back with 1000+ other boats and planned to sleep out until our anchor gave way... At least we got pumped out... We got back safe and sound yesterday at 5 PM... I added an additional 40' of chain on the rode today... Look forward to see the Barnegat boats this summer...

Ron,

You should have stopped at the "secret spot" and avoided the crowds at Tices....We were there until about 5. Wind started to pick up in the afternoon but nothing unusual for the bay.

Frank,
We called you on VFH... Thought you headed home... We hailed you on 69 and 16... We looked for you, but with more 1000 boats it was a lost cause... I wish I went to governer's cut with you, I had so many boats anchored around me that I did not feel safe leaving the boat...

We only used just over a half a tank for our trip to AC and back... I did not fuel up yet because I heard the gas prices are going down... Also, my 340 really planes of fast when there is only a 1/4 tank of gas... Hope to see you soon on the water...

Rod,

Looks like an awesome trip! Glad ya'll had fun, and arrived safely at all of your destinations.

Ron;

Here is the shot of my track coming out of the Little Egg Inlet overlayed over the markers I put in place from 2008....pretty much dead on....

sweet. Question, are there always that many dolphins off the coast this far north? Just seems like they were everywhere. The sound has a ton of them too.

.........
The trans oil cooler bracket broke and the cooler came out of the heat exchanger. I was able to get it back in and zip tied it in place so I could use that engine to dock the boat...... ..

Oh yeah... Greg... I told you to bring a bag of bolts for things that fall off the engines...

Now we'll never hear the end of it from those Cat Bastards.

You didn't think this got by us did you?????.....Stan actually has a camera in his ER so he can watch it happen.....

It's my desktop pic on my Mac... but I photoshopped it.

Here's the G-rated version....

North!?....you'd never know it from this pic of the AC beach....we even have palm trees......(BTW....those are real ...they bring them up every year)...and yes, we get Dolphin up here along the beach quite frequently....sometimes you will think it's a dolphin, but the fin will belong to a non-mamal sea dweller.....

This was from our trip to Beach Haven last summer. Saw a pod not 50 feet from the boat the summer before leaving Great Egg Inlet. They're all over the place and they're not shy.
