CSR Northeast Flotilla 2016

Folks,

I have couple of outstanding items/questions:

1. As I recall, we've discussed this in the past but I just wanted to clarify. Do we have some games settled for the kids while we're on Taylor's Isl? I have few proposed on the first page, are we doing them or is there anything else planned instead?

2. Wine tasting - let's decide on the date. Considering that we have plenty of activities while in Shelter Isl, it would make sense to do it in MV or Hyannis. IMO any of these might work: 8/2, 8/3, 8/4 and 8/5.

3. Captain's Knowledge Session - let's decided on the dates. We can have more than one.

Any thoughts?

As for the Taylor's Island activities, there has been a pirate sighting in the area and I believe that a treasure chest has been (will be) on the island somewhere! Rumor has it that the treasure chest is filled with kids toys. Some pirates will come ashore with a treasure map that can be followed to find the treasure. If any other pirates would like to join in the festivities, they are more than welcome, but pirate regalia is needed!!!

for the wine tasting, since we have reservations at the Tugboat on 8/5, we should choose one of the other days. 8/4 might be a good night for that as it is a "travel day" to Hyannis.

We usually transport a magma to the island maybe someone else can bring an additional grill as well.
we also brought a slushie Machine and "Honda generator" so anything can be accomplished!!

I could bring my grill as well if needed. It has legs for a table top.

We are in for wine tasting if you do it at MV or Hyannis.

Excellent!!! I'll update the first page.

Oops....for a moment I forgot about dinner at Tugboat on 8/5. Thanks for reminder.

So, we're starting to narrow down the logical date. Considering that 8/2 is a biking day, folks might be a bit tired for the wine tasting nite. Therefore, 8/3 and 8/4 are starting to look like primary candidates. Either one works for me. I understand that 8/4 is the day we take off for Hyannis, but since it's a short ride, we don't have to leave early.

Ok guys, I'm a bit too far away to join the fleet so from here I wish you all the best in this cruise. I've searched in Google Earth and your destination is beautiful!!.

2 more nights to go......Good luck, we will be following your experiences. Send lots of pictures please....

Sorry guys, I haven't been following the thread. Colleen Just read up and filled me in. Now for some updates from me:

I am really hoping to make this trip, however my father had a little incident working on a shed roof and fell off and broke his pelvis. Right now things aren't looking the best so there is a chance I may have to bail. With that said, We are going to start getting ready for the trip.

I rented 4 bikes from Bianca.

Alex, yes, I will do the name tags.

Everyone please make sure your names are spelled correctly on the first page and that all your names are listed there, kids, etc. Boat names also...

I'm not sure what Colleen has planned to bring yet, but I'll let you know.

Right now my plan is to leave Friday after work, and stop somewhere in the western sound for the night. Then continue on early Saturday morning.

More bad news, we wont be bringing the slushie machine. :smt089

Well this sounds awesome. What time will this take place? 7:30 which is in the kids activities time slot? I ask because my kids will love this and we're not arriving until about 3:00 on Sat and I don't want to miss it!

BTW - I have Baggo (the Narragansett bean bag toss game on my boat). I'd be happy to bring that to shore. I have a small plastic bocce set that I could bring too, if there's any interest in that.

Sorry to hear about your dad's accident. I wish him speedy recovery and hope you guys can make the trip.

Greg, I hope your father makes a speedy and full recovery. If you need anything, just ask.

The treasure hunt should be around 7:30, after the feast. Any extra toys and games are always welcome.
