Congrats Joe.

FYI - my wife, Cheryl, is volunteering for photo/film crew. She will be taking a million pictures anyway, so why not. We'll also have the go-pro out for those action water shots.

So with the crappy weather forecasted for Friday, is anyone adjusting their plans? The wife is concerned being on the boat in T-storms. I was thinking of leaving tomorrow afternoons and getting a dock for the day somewhere close bye, maybe in ct. Any ideas? Hoping to be within an hour from shelter island

My marina, Brewers Pilots Point in Westbrook, CT is 1:10 door-to-door to Shelter (just did it last weekend doing between 18-20 knots). And my marina is awesome. Just saying. :)

Have been there and like it very much. We usually use it as a rest stop on the way to or from Block. Thought about cruising up Friday and spending the night then hopping over to Shelter on Friday but not sure we would beat the weather. Currently we're about 2 hours from Shelter so still not a bad ride.

I'm going to watch the weather I think I should be fine to make it before the weather is predicted to arrive. So I should all be arriving Fri afternoon

My new plan is as followed. Since there are chances of storms all day Friday I'm just going to leave tomorrow! That's not the only reason why. The biggest reason is if I leave Friday early am I'll be hitting my two trouble spots at mid , mid low tide and I'm really not to excited about that. So tomorrow I will leave work at 12 get to the boat at 2 push off (if I can rush and get everything done tonight) and I'll be at my 2 trouble spots at dead high tide putting me at shelter at just after sunset. Anybody interested? Start the party early?

Adjusted my plan also ill leave Huntington at sunrise sat morning and arrive "whenever" sat. See you all then
