CSR Northeast Flotilla 2016

Harold,

Based on the latest updates to my schedule, my ETA most likely be Fri by midnight.

We will be ready for you. VHF 69.

Looking forward to this!

We took a run to Coecles this past weekend and anchored out Sat night. Great spot. Can't wait to do it again this weekend.

I think me and some others are going to be the first to arrive. I know is been a while but should we set the raft up the same location as we did a few years back I want to say it was 2011 or 2012? Just south south east of the island?

I'm going to try to leave Huntington by 10:30am, so I hope to be there by 2ish. If anyone in the sound wants to caravan, let me know. I'll hit up 69 when I get there. Are we doing a call sign like "CSR Flotilla" or something?

Your talking Friday or Saturday? I'm guessing I'll b there first with afew others my boat name is paisleys playpen so you can try that or you can use csr flotilla whichever tickles your fancy.

I am also planning to arrive early Friday with Jonathan and Ron. I should have my handheld VHF with me on 69. My boat name is "Zuzu's Petals II". Hailing " CSR flotilla " will also work

Be careful everyone. A news report says a boat capsized in Shinnecock Inlet yesterday! (Don't tell my wife!!)

Nine people including kids went into the water. Everyone rescued ok.

For table offerings, we will bring a fruit salad and a few packs/boxes of hot dogs for the kiddos (or anyone, really). I'm assuming there will be a grill on the island?

We usually transport a magma to the island maybe someone else can bring an additional grill as well.
we also brought a slushie Machine and "Honda generator" so anything can be accomplished!!

We typically use just "Club Sea Ray" call sign.

Jonathan, check out first page. I just uploaded the anchorage pic there. Those who will get there first, try finding a good spot not too far from Taylor's Island. We'll be doing tons of dinghy trips there and back, so conveniently locating the raft is important. Not many people have to go to the shore/beach. So, being a bit further from it is not an issue.

We're planning on spending the night at the marina on Friday then departing Sat morning however you guys would probably be going by my home port around 8pm. I wonder what my fuel effiency would be at 9knts. I wouldn't mind a nice leisurely quarter moon light cruise while the crew pops some popcorn.
Alex maybe I'll tag behind you on Friday.

If it's anything like my boat at 9knts your getting the same efficiency as you would at cruise . At 3400 rpm I do about .62 mph and at 12mph I get about. 65 mpg

Ok Alex I got the location I'll set up there. My boats taking a pounding right now very windy very heavy rain and tons of strikes in the very near vicinity. Hope mother nature gets her wiggles out today and leaves the next 15 days nice and sunny and warm
