CSR Northeast Flotilla 2016

Looks like I'm hanging out on Harold's boat when I have the sweet tooth and joes boat when I'm thirsty
Is amazing how 150$ at the grocery store lasts my house 3 weeks but 12 days on a boat costs me 400 without drinks

Hey Guys,

I am changing my plans too. Since I am heading west following the raft up I'm not gonna be bringing my boat out to Shelter. I was planning on arriving Friday morning & departing Sunday morning but with the weather that doesn't seem possible. I'll be coming out on Saturday by car & will dinghy out to the group.
Alex, I will grab a tray of something from Tommys place before I head out & keep it in one of our catering totes so it stays warm.

Thanks Todd. I don't what's the deal with the weather, but reports I'm looking at, all say 82* and sunny with calm winds for the next 15 days.

You can't tell them you're doing provisioning for the boat, if you wish to avoid the "boat tax".

Well, I think this trip just got a whole lot more expensive for me..... It seems that my trusty Norcold refrigerator decided that today was the day it was going to start giving up on me. Started adding a few small items to it and taking a look at the thermometer I leave in it, just for this reason, to see the freezer section is 34 degrees. This is with the dial set to max! The bottom of the frig was reading 55+ degrees. And to think I just put brand new panels in it to make it look nice!

First stop tomorrow, dry ice. Second stop, boat store.

I was hoping to get another season out of this thing so that I could replace it after a little research and bargain shopping. I was planning to get a Virtfrigio when it was time, but I may need to get the Norcold because I know I can get one tomorrow and at a discount from the store I used to work in.

Good luck with the swap Harold, but at least now you won't have to worry about it during the trip. :)

As for the name tags I have a few questions...

Nan-Overboard, what are your girls names?

Cfd95, I need your info

Gary B, are you bringing any other crew?

Please either post or PM me your info.

One more day!!! Getting some last minute test runs on the drone!

Sorry to hear that Harold. But, I'd say it's better now than on the trip. At least you have some time for resolving it.

Norcold sounds like no brainer in your case.

I spoke we Pat at Taylor's Isl. They'll be ready for us to start getting things ready between 4-5pm on Sat. She alos said that they have one Weber charcoal grill. So, if anyone needs to use it, bring charcoals.

Have a safe trip... Fair Winds and Following Seas... Can't wait to see your pictures...

Adjusted my plan also ill leave Huntington at sunrise sat morning and arrive "whenever" sat. See you all then

if the forecast holds true, sounds like I will be doing the same thing. I'm hoping the weather blows past by mid afternoon and I can go tomorrow, but it doesn't seem likely

I have half a bag of charcoal on my boat that I've been dieing to toss just keep forgetting to so I have the charcoal covered. I should have the lines off over the next 45 min and heading to shelter.

For Anybody coming through shinnecock canal.
Fuel prices
Jackson marina just south of the locks on the east side of the canal is the best price at 324 a gallon just inside the shinnecock inlet it's 355 and the marine just north of the locks on the west side of canal is 397.
