Buff Magic

I use Buff Magic with a rotary every time and it works great for me. Last year I restored a 1990 Regal ambassador 233xl and it took over a day and half. This year I am tackling my Nused 1988 340 EC. A bottle of Motrin, 12-18 Coronas and maybe a portion of Crown should get me confidence up before getting started. Remember this, Buff Magic is not a wax so you're going to have to go back over with a protectant. When done the proper way, the results are outstanding and do last the entire season. I do encourage you to put another coat of wax on mid season just to protect your work.

Little helpful hints: Use less than more, start slow with the speed and end up fast, don't drive for at least 8 hours after drinking. :smt018
Most of all enjoy!! It is very rewarding to see the shining results when you're walking down the pier.

I am dreading this task , I must not forget my beer , maybe a bloody first thing since theres a bar across from my marina , I may have to ask my buddy (owner) of the marina if I can just spend the night in my boat since it is inside and all ,lol

So how long do you guys think it will take me to Buff Magic and Pro Polish a 31' boat? Do I need to plan for 5 days or more like 2? I'm talking just from the rub rail down...

Just used Buff Magic and Pro Polish on my 2000 34 DA (from the rub rail down) and it took me one 8 hour day and a second 4 hour hour day (using the dual action polisher from Shurhold). Looks great and got a lot of compliments from guys at the marina. I work in a school so when I am on spring break (first week of April) I will be going back over to do the top side including radar arch. Will be in the slip in mid-April and can not wait!

Jeff did I laugh when I read this, I started a few weeks ago and my back was killing me after about 3 hours, took 6 advil before I left :smt101 As for the Buff Magic it works great. Heading down to the boat on Tue to do some more polishing and this time maybe bring some beer and let the Admiral drive us home.

I just completed my second application of PP, is it recommended to wax with a good wax like Meguires Flagship now or will that destroy the polymer protection from the PP?
