Atlantic City Rendezvous 2010

I've heard Rumors that Mr. Webster may be bringing up some 'local lobster'....those little critter types.....I think they're called crawfish......we're gonna use Gary's shot gun for target practice on them....that is...if he gets the gun out of the pokey in time.....

You gonna do your shotgun practice over on the little bitty boat dock in AC or you gonna try it on the Fuddy Duddy dock?

Got an email from JDPromo asking abt updates. None to report but wanted to bring the thread up in the chronology again just because.

Don't forget that each attendee has to call Farley and give them his/her credit card to reserve a slip. Remember to tell them you are with the Searay Group and make sure they have your name and boat info (if you gave it to me they should).

Phone # there is 800-876-4386

Just spoke to Dave over at Farley State Marina. Thanks to some help from Dominic and Bobby Bacala, we will have the t-head on F dock and there will be no conflicts with the Bertram Group.

More so thanks to Dom and Bob.

Just called Jesica at Farleys with my CC info so Whoo Hoo!

I'm excited to do my first real boat trip and to meet you guys.

Now the countdown begins.

Anyone still psyched for this trip? Less than two months away. Man, it goes fast!

Ron, We are psyched.... Would like to plan a local trip to High Bar Harbor soon too... We ancored by your Marina last night in Pine Beach... Fist time on my hook over night with this boat... It was great... Here's a pic looking at your marina, just before I dropped the anchor...

I'm getting psyched as well. I just hope our schedules work out. July is a super busy month this year.

Was Frank C. going to put a countdown on this thread again this year?

Julie, the cruise director needs to edit the first post. My Java update program is running and embedding the countdown into a new JPEG.

See?

Ok, I cut and pasted the countdown in to the first post. Didn't it appear after every post last year?

Since we only have about 6 weeks left to prepare, we should start talking about the "Table of the Gods II." For those of you who are unfamiliar, the "Table" is the Friday night gathering which, this year, will be held on the T-head of F-Dock (where the big boys berth). We'll get Trump to bring down some finely linened tables upon which each participant will lay his offering. Remember to try and keep it simple. Some folks have ovens in their boats so they can cook up a storm. The rest of us need to produce food that can be eaten at room temperature. Farley does not permit BBQs on their docks. Last year everyone brought a dessert and a main course. Please don't make TOO much stuff. There was enough left-overs last year to feed a militia.

For the people flying or driving in, you are excused from making an offering, unless you want to bring White Castles, Krispy Kremes or bags of chips. Offerings can consist of Sangria or a stocked Marguerita machine but for the most part, this is a BYOBooze event.

Please post here or PM me with your offerings and I'll put it up at #1 on this thread.

Ron,

Another thing we shouldn't overlook is the name tags. With 30+ boats it'll be very helpfull. Frank C. did oustanding job last year making very nice name tags with boat names and AC picture in the background.

I can do that again. Easy enough to run them of the Xerox 6250DP color laser at home. Just like last year, I'll need first name of each attendee, boat name, and boat model designation.

Best regards,
Frank

Don't need that for Four Suns, last year's no show. Have the tags for Gary, Susie, John, Chris, Timmy, Lou and Soren so they're good unless there's a son substitution.

John has been removed from our family. And if Lou doesn't stop digging, he'll be removed as well.

Ron: We can bringe the samething as last year... Sushi Tuna on Seaweed... I assume we wil all thought in $5 for the marina table set up...

Frank C: Same as last year...

Frank C: same as last year for us and Bobby Bacala (Gale Winds).

BTW....any consideration to a Convoy heading south from the Barnegat Bay/Toms River area?

Three routes would be:

1: South along the ICW then outside Barnegat Inlet and back in the Absecon Inlet.
2: South along the ICW then outside Little Egg Inlet and back in the Absecon Inlet.
3: South along the ICW the entire route.

From a time and distance percpective, in all my years of going to AC/Farley State Marina, there is no real difference in time or distance....it's just a matter of preference.

I personally prefer option # 2 down and option # 1 (in reverse) home.
