Atlantic City Rendezvous 2010

Tomorrow the winds are now forecasted to be 10-20 MPH SSE... That is directly into the Barnegat inlet... With an out-going tide, I might be joining the L'll Egg guys... maybe even all the way inside... I will check in the morning... Bring your brushes and soap...

Did someone had a fight with weather Gods? Before things get nasty start making up, we need good weather!

Earlier start we get the better (for winds anyway). Leaving LEI can get dicey too - but at least there's no jettie to channel the current and wind. Right now it's only Jon, Rudy and I going along LBI. John (JDPromo) has cancelled due to engine trouble.

As an outsider to your trip, but wishing I could be there, I hope you all have great weather and calm seas. Make sure you take lots of pictures for all of us on CSR. Have fun and be safe. Sincerely, Brian

I will be on ch. 72 all morning. My plan is to wait for word from Ron to get to get to Beach haven to leave my dock. Just give me enough notice to get underway and we will form up with the convoy.

Once we get out of the inlest I will lead or follow as requested. Inside of LEI I am a fish out of water. Once out on the ocean - I am in my element. My normal cruise speed is around 26 knots, but I can slow down to 18 or so with no fuel efficiency penalty. (or I can just run circles around Ron). Looking forward to meeting you all.

Jon, Rudy and I will be in radio range of you probably around 10:30-11am. I know exactly where you're berthed. We've got about 11 miles, two no-wakes and a bridge to slow down for once we get past the lighthouse so that could certainly take the better part of an hour.

Looks like the wind won't hit double digits until around 1pm and hopefull we will be safetly tucked away by then.

I can lead out the inlet and then you can blow by after that if you get tired of running circles around me. They don't call me pokey for nothing. I can't make 26 knots even at WOT!

I made it... I'm alive. Li sound was rough. The rest was easy at 14.5knts. My boat was one big salt lick. How do you guys boat in this pond? My depth alarm went off every 10 minutes. I saw no sharks.

We had a nice run today.... 6 hours...

Look what I found wandering around in the middle of nowhere today...

See you all tomorrow.

Mike, it's not any different than South Shore LI...LOL.

Any word from them?

Gary,
I though you have the PC with big monitor setup up on the bridge and surf CSR while crusing.......LOL.

How're you guys making out over there?

GW and I are tied up a Rock Hall Landing. Went to dinner with Tim and Josh. Carter C is in town for AC and stopped in here to meet and greet everyone. Two foot seas when we left, 1 foot seas part way up the Bay and no foot seas up this way.

Departure at 5:30am tomorrow trying to beat those Joisey Boys to the Donald's place.

If anyone has a motor for a vacuflush, I could use one for the aft head. If you bring it to AC, I'll replace it with a new one ASAP. It seems that the bellows trying to pound a tampon into submisison causes a gear to break in the motor.

Time to go wake up Turtle....he's been sleeping long enough. I figure we'll go for a quick 4 mile run before we leave.

I have to go see if my neighbor is up. Then we are going to "run" these boats out of the harbor. See ya'll in a couple of hours.

I do... I posted to the "secret diesel snob board" all day.

Now you made us feel unimportant, no wander your post numbers wend down on CSR .........just kidding. Looks like you guys having fun already. Can't wait to join.
