Atlantic City Rendezvous 2010

I heard reports of sharks out there. Don't soak your shorts in meat.

This is from 9:30 today:

"Sharks spotted off the Jersey Shore on Thursday morning prompted lifeguards to briefly close a beach on Barnegat Peninsula for the second day in a row."

Maybe I need to rethink swimming in the ocean with my open cuts....

You're gonna need a bigger boat.

Ron...Robert with the 410DA out of forked river.....is he the white hull, blue canvas with outriggers?

Don't know. Never met. He's on CSR - shadow9999. No pix.

So, I guess only the Shadow knows!!!!! I wonder if he's on the H-dock or if he's on the Manly F-dock with us big boats!!!!!!

Heh....is anybody not bringing lobster this year? We had an oyster, but now that's gone too!!!!!!

I just went and fueled up the boat and pumped out the holding tank. Wind is blowing nice! I kicked in the bow thruster a few times. If it is this windy tomorrow it will be fun watching everyone dock.

I took a picture of this one off the coast of Atlantic City (20 miles out) 3 weeks ago.

Rin,
I guess you don't scuba dive?

The sharks are always there, whether we hear about them or not, but that doesn't mean they're after you (well when it's feeding time it might be different).

Rod,
Since our Aquaman is not with us I'm not sure I'll stop solo. Admiral might skip the swim, but it all depends on the water temps. We'll play it by the ear.

WOW!!!...I was just outside....the wind is blowing a good 15-20 knots right out of the West. This morning, before the winds kicked up, I stepped UP to get on the boat....now, the wind is blowing all the water out of the bay, and I have to step DOWN to get on the boat. Low tide here ain't for another 3 1/2 hours....

Good thing Mike isn't reading this....

Mike will be coming in the Barnegat Inlet today on an incoming Tide, near high tide... The bad new is the tide will be against the wind, which will makes for a difficult ride, even in his big tub... Can't wait to here the story... The wind is supposed to be not as strong tomorrow... We will be all arriving Trump at almost dead low tide... Don't cut the red maker near the Coast Guard station tomorrow... the water is shallow there... YES I ran a ground there too....

REAL MEN brave BI when the tide and 20+ mph wind oppose each other!

Bit seriously, the cruising guide I have says if you come upon Barnegat Inlet in those conditions, PASS IT BY. Too dangerous.

Mikes in the Barnegat Bay......he got beat up pretty good today......he needs a beer and a cigar. Consuela and Linda can each have a glass of wine and talk about us. Pig Dog needs a cookie and a shady spot to take a nap....

Rod:

Mike ran the Manasquan today....

There is a 60' wide barge in the Point Pleasant Canal, for work on the route 88 bridge... I don't knw which way is worse... Hope he is past it by now... Look forward to see you guys tomorrow morning... I poured in 135 gallons of gas in my boat, 5 gallons at a time... I am still doing penance for my Generator Sin... (Thou shall not hydro-lock the genny... Then fail to fix said genny)

For those interested here is live feed of the PP inlet... Maybe we can see Mike's arrival...

That's funny. I used to do that - with my Regal, which had a 20 gallon tank!

Rod,

That barge is no big deal. I passed it at night in the dark while coming back from NYC trip.

After Mike's boat delivery from FL, the rest trips here are just walk in the park.

Gary and Rick should be getting beat on pretty good too.....nah....never mind, there heading up into the Wussypeake area....maybe a little fresh wa wa got on their hulls?

I hope the oyster is doing well!

Any word from them?

Gary,
I though you have the PC with big monitor setup up on the bridge and surf CSR while crusing.......LOL.

How're you guys making out over there?
